We wrapped up the first WE in the Valley show on Sunday with a super fun speed round followed by an excellent cattle trial with 6 of the 13 runs successfully penning their cow!
Many thanks to everyone involved, starting with wonderful welcome by Karen Fellerhoff and Saddle Peak Equestrian Center and their amazing team! Deanna Rossi and her crew took great care of the equines and their humans, and thank you to Tye Macdonald for providing the cows, and Brian Lasswell for all his help wrangling and tagging the cows on Sunday.
Thank you to our superbly knowledgeable judge, Amy Star for her excellent guidance and willingness to work overtime enabling us to squeeze in every rider that registered for the show, and TD Kim Trinè Pearson for her patience and support in helping to keep the show running smoothly.
Making this show happen was no small feat, but was made possible by the support of an amazing team of volunteers and much support, advice, and encouragement by our WE family including Mandy Erickson, Ria McCarthy, James Erickson, Melissa Kay Main of Working Equitation Montana Belgrade, Alyssa Briceland, Sheila Mealey, Bonnie Young, Julie Alonzo, Kristine Alonzo Strasburger, and many others who gave up a big chunk of their weekend to make the show a success!
