A promise to you: any content you see on this page will never have been touched up, photoshopped or altered. We specifically asked our photographer Bright Side Photography] not to alter our acne, bodies or anything of the like. Our promise to you is to show up online, on our pod, and in person as our real selves with no filters, no distortions and no bu****it. That means that you come along for all of the good and the bad with us. We want this community to be safe and a place where people see people for their true selves no a made up version. Cheers to the real and to figuring out how to love ourselves without creating a fake version that’s “easier” to love.

Xoxo, ya BIM gals 💜

Recovering from an eating disorder is a lot like mountain running... it’s really hard. It’s really easy to compare yourself. It’s hard to know when to be patient and compassionate with yourself versus when to keep pushing. It’s demanding and sometimes hard to see progress. It requires good and bad days.

They’re also both rewarding, freeing, and a good test of trust in yourself. They both require courage, vulnerability and a lot of food and water.

Keep running in the mountains. Keep recovering. Even when it’s not glamorous and seems impossible.

Always in your corner, BIM gals 💜💜💜💜

sometimes it’s glamour, “ideal” beauty, success and getting things done, and sometimes it’s being sound asleep in the middle of the day while smelling bad and needing a shower. Both are valid. Both are real. Both are human. Both are so worthy of love.

It’s bachelorette weekend for our cohost !! This is a time to celebrate, to eat the cake, to drink the margs, to lay in the sun and to not lose any precious seconds of these amazing moments to disordered eating thoughts and behaviors. We’ve been reminiscing on how nice it is to be able to relax and enjoy ourselves without the pressure to workout and to have everything perfect planned. Cheers to our beautiful Aubrey and to reclaiming our lives 💜

Since it’s snowing in Bozeman.. here’s some snowy reminders:
✨ fueling on rest days (and weeks) is just as important as fueling on big training days
✨ if you’re feeling like a fair weather athlete, that’s okay
✨ just because you ate a late or a big dinner doesn’t mean you should skip breakfast
✨ if you’re feeling antsy, it’s okay to move, and to move some more and to move even more even if you already moved — listen to your body. Trust your body. They know better than your brain 💜

daily reminders ✨
🌞 even if you’re not hungry, don’t skip any meals
🌞 perfection is a myth
🌞 your body will change and keep changing and that’s okay
🌞 weight doesn’t have anything to do with your worth
🌞 we love you 💜

Episode 29: Kylee Van Horn

Kylee is nutritionist and nutrition coach for mountain athletes. She is the owner and operator of Fly Nutrition, offering virtual sports nutrition coaching for endurance athletes and running coaching through Microcosm Coaching. She also is a bi-monthly contributor to Trail Runner Magazine and fundamentally believes that nutrition doesn't have to be complicated. We chat about how we can shift the narrative around nutrition in endurance communities, better educating coaches on nutrition, and pivoting away from the "good" and "bad" food dichotomy. MONDAY MINDSET ✨(on Tuesday morning bc we’re all just human)
Learning to celebrate movement without judgment will change your life.

Last week I met up with (episode 16) in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This was a last minute trip in a new place. Something like this would have given me so much anxiety and distress back in the height of my eating disorder and pursuit of elite athletics, because I would have felt out of control. Not knowing the trails, or the types of workouts I would get or if I would be too slow or whatever would have caused me great distress. Learning to celebrate moving my body with people that I love just for the sake of loving those people and being in beautiful places and enjoying movement has changed my life and made every moment outside that much more enjoyable, pleasurable and fulfilling.

I think we can live a lot more when we learn that all control does is eliminate our chance to love ourselves, our moments and our people.

Being strong isn’t about being able to handle the most without help. It’s not about suffering silently. It’s not about having it all figured it out or being a profession at enduring life. Strength is about being honest. It’s asking for help. It’s being strong enough to feel all your hard and big emotions—not being better or “tougher” than them.

Let’s flip the narrative about what strength is, feels like and looks like 👏🏼✨
