Only 7% of the world has a college education - and by educating more women, we have the power to change the world.

Circle of Sisterhood Foundation, founded by WKU alumna Ginny Carroll, is an organization whose mission is to break down educational barriers for women and girls living in poverty by providing grants and building schools (circleofsisterhood.org). Educated women earn 25% more income and when women earn an income, they reinvest 90% into their families to break the cycle of poverty. Now there is an opportunity for all sorority women, regardless of affiliation, to come together as a powerful force to provide opportunities for women and girls worldwide. Sorority women are fortunate to have the one thing that will help most women out of poverty—an education. As such, we have a responsibility to those less fortunate.

I am incredibly honored to announce that I am representing WKU Panhellenic’s Circle of Sisterhood for 2024 Homecoming Queen candidate!

Western Kentucky University is so much more than just a place to me- it’s where I’ve found my passion, built lifelong friendships, and discovered my true self. Each moment spent on this campus has shaped my journey in ways I could never have imagined. The spirit of WKU is alive in every interaction and every tradition, reminding me of the strength we share as a community. I am grateful for all of the support and encouragement from this community that have inspired me to dream bigger and strive for more always.

Being a part of Circle of Sisterhood is a privilege I cherish deeply. This organization embodies the values of empowerment, support, and education for women, and it aligns perfectly with my commitment to uplifting others.
