Girls Varsity Highlights: Izzy Rettinger and McKenna Emenaker both set new PR's in the 3200m run with Izzy making the biggest jump of over a minute faster.
The 4x800 Relay team also set a new PR on the night, consisting of members Rettinger, Emenaker, McKinney and Gephart.

Highlights for the Boys Varsity: Congrats go out to Clayton Andrews on setting a new Pole Vault record for himself at 9'0". Isaac Quintana set another PR in the 200m race. He keeps inching himself closer to the school record. Keep it up guys.

The Triton girls track and field team made program history Friday night, capturing their first-ever Apache Invitational championship with a dominant team score of 134 points at Wabash High School. The Trojans outpaced Maconaquah (95), Wabash (73), Elwood (23), and Indiana Math & Science (2). Triton’s depth and versatility powered the championship effort, as the Lady Trojans claimed seven first-place finishes across the track and field events.

The historic night was highlighted by senior Rilee Bemish, who broke the Triton school record in the pole vault with a clearance of 9 feet, 3 inches. Bemish surpassed the previous record of 9-0, which she previously shared with MaKenna May, to become the new record holder while also winning the event.

Leading the way was Evelyn Gephart, who was a double champion in the distance races, winning the 800 meters in 2:46.9 and the 3200 meters in 14:00.3. She also added a third-place finish in the 1600 with a personal-record time of 6:06.9.

Addison Albright had a huge night in the hurdles, winning the 300 hurdles in 51.61 and placing second in the 100 hurdles with a season-best 18.44. She also helped the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams to runner-up finishes.

In the field events, Avery Faulkner was another double winner, taking first in high jump (4-8) and discus (85-7), while also finishing second in shot put.

The Lady Trojans also won the 4x800 relay as Izzy Rettinger, Gephart, Chloe McKinney, and McKenna Emenaker combined for a personal-record time of 11:09.3.

Additional top performances included Kiyliyen Fear placing third in the 100 dash and second in high jump, Morgan Heckaman finishing runner-up in the 400, Hosannah Chupp taking third in the 200, and Izzy Rettinger earning third in the 3200 with a personal best.

With strong performances in every phase of the meet, the Lady Trojans showed their balance and depth on the way to another invitational championship.

The Triton Trojans Varsity Boys turned in a strong performance to place third at the Apache Invitational with 70.5 team points, finishing behind only Maconaquah and Wabash in a competitive field.

Triton was led by two event championships on the day. The 4x100 meter relay team of Cayden Bradley, Isaac Quintana, Cam Callahan, and Jayden Overmyer sprinted to first place in 45.1, while Overmyer also claimed the shot put title with a winning throw of 42-8.5.

Several Trojans added runner-up finishes, including Vinny Prater in the 110 hurdles (16.58), Cayden Bradley in pole vault (11-0), and the 4x400 relay team of Quintana, Faulkner, Bradley, and Lincoln Williams, who ran a season-best 3:39.2.

Isaac Quintana had a standout meet with third-place finishes in both the 200 dash (23.66) and 400 dash (51.84), with his 400 time marking a personal record. Lincoln Williams also placed third in the 800 run (2:11.7), while Brady Heckaman was third in the 300 hurdles (47.15), and Tyler Painton took third in long jump with a personal-best leap of 18-5.

More key points came from Grant Williams in the 800 (4th), Isaiah Brink in high jump (4th), Clayton Andrews in both the 300 hurdles (4th, PR) and pole vault (4th), Brayden Nifong in the 3200 (5th), Max Ritchison in discus (5th), and Jayden Overmyer in the 100 dash (5th).

Triton also saw personal-best efforts from Cayden Bradley in the 200, Ajay Fink in the 200, Hunter Trusty in long jump, and several others as the Trojans continue to build momentum heading deeper into the season.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the GIRLS VARSITY TRACK TEAM and Rilee Bemish!!
The girls TEAM took home their first EVER Apache Invitational WIN last night in Wabash. AND Rilee Bemish BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD IN POLE VAULT, with a jump of 9 foot 3 inches!!! The previous record was held by MaKenna May and Rilee Bemish of 9 foot.
AWESOME JOB GIRLS!!! WAY TO GO RILEE!!!!
