It was a fun weekend of racing!

Friday night, we raced at Miami County Raceway which is my favorite race track. It always provides great racing with multiple groves that are equally fast. Finished 5th in my heat and after running 7th in my features I had an electrical failure and had to pull in and ended my night finishing 15th.

Saturday night, we were at US 24 Speedway and I qualified 6th in my group and finished 6th in my heat race on a track that is tough to pass. I was running close to the top 10 in the feature when I got into a racing deal with another car and spun so I had to go to the tail and finished 13th.

I’m very fortunate to be a part of a great racing team Yellow Jacket Racing. See the pictures below, one of the young hot shoes (JD) at Yellow Jacket Racing Gen 4 is giving me great coaching before my feature! Priceless.

I have great partners who support my hobby and I really appreciate them.

It was most likely my last weekend racing in Indiana for the year. The relationships with fellow drivers like Mike Shellenberger, Robert Pell, Steve Shellenberger, Jeff Owens, Shaun Miller, Jason Fuller is what makes this sport so much fun.

It was great to see and catch up with Cruz Stanfill Racing and Bryan Stanfill Friday night. The kid is a helluva shoe and a great young man! I’m a huge fan .

Knocked out 450 miles today on my way to Yellow Jacket Racing shop to get ready for a weekend of racing at Miami County Raceway and US 24 Speedway.

Hopefully tomorrow we get the crack in the engine block fixed. If not, we have a spare bullet to put in the car which should be a good piece.

After having multiple problems with my truck this summer, , it ran perfectly today so hopefully thats a sign for a great weekend of racing.

That’s a wrap for Indiana Micro week with HART - Heartland Auto Racing Tour.

We got rained out Saturday night so we ran a double header on Sunday at Rush County Fair racetrack.

For the afternoon races, I finished 8th in my heat race and went 20th to 18th in the feature after a part failure that caused the chain to come off.

For the evening racers, I finished 7th in my heat race and went 20th to 13th in the feature. It was a battle of attrition as I was able to avoid all the carnage and roll it into the trailer.

It was a week full of fun and frustrations. I had a blast racing 6 different events at 4 different tracks and bring home a top 5 as a car owner when Sam Kimmel was the shoe Thursday night.

Speaking of frustrations, my truck broke down on the way to the hotel Thursday night. As of today, the part is on order and my truck will be fixed tomorrow and I can head home. Fortunately the repair shop was able to find me a rental truck that could pull my trailer.

So many people to thank for these last 10 days of traveling and racing. #1 on the list is my wife for not minding that I was away from home for 10 days and the support of my crazy (expensive) hobby.

Yellow Jacket Racing and Yellow Jacket Racing Gen 4 for all their help.

It was a dust bowl last night at Bartholomew County 4-H Fair, Inc with HART - Heartland Auto Racing Tour.

Sam Kimmel was behind the wheel of the Brad Lozier Racing #3 and we had a pretty good night.

P2 in the heat race and after running 2nd in the feature for a while we ended up 5th. I really appreciate Sam jumping in my car and Joe Kimmel for all the help working in the pits.

We are off today and will be at Rush County Fair speedway Saturday and Sunday.

I really appreciate all the people that help my race team.

Recap of Nights 1 & 2 of the HART - Heartland Auto Racing Tour Indiana Micro week.

Monday at Miami County Raceway
Heat race finished 6th
B Main finished 10th

Tuesday at US 24 Speedway
Heat race finished 9th
B Main finished 9th

These results are not what I was hoping for but I’m realistic in that I’m racing this series this week in the Outlaw class against some of the best micro sprint racers there is. The Outlaw class is a significant step above the class I normally run. Both nights were a lot of fun and we loaded the car in the trailer each night without any repairs to make.

Thursday night we race at Bartholomew County 4-H Fair, Inc fairgrounds and Sam Kimmel will be behind the wheel. After 4 nights of racing in 90+ degree heat, this old man is going to take a break and be ready for Rush County Fair races Saturday & Sunday.

Thanks to my buddy Dan Smith for the great picture.

Weekend Update.

Friday night we raced at Miami County Raceway and I started 10th in the feature and after going to tail due to hitting a spinning car in front of me, I was able to work my way back up to 8th. Not a bad night.

Saturday night was blistering hot at US 24 Speedway. I started 17th and finished 16th. We rolled it into the trailer without any problems so it was a good night.

Monday starts Indiana micro week with HART - Heartland Auto Racing Tour. Should be a fun week.

Thanks to all who help my race team.
