My goal is to empower you.
I want you to be able to ask yourself, “What do I feel?” and know when the answer is, “I am feeling stressed.”
I then want you to KNOW that you can ask yourself, “What do I need?”
And then, I want you to be able to answer, “What can I do?”
5 strategies for managing stress and a dis regulated nervous system:
1. Deep, slow breathing through the nose
2. Go outside
3. Eat grounding foods like protein or fat
4. Exercise (making sure you breathe in through your nose, not your mouth)
5. Strategize getting quality sleep tonight
All of these practices guide your body & nervous system the opportunity to calm down.
