📣 AUGUST INTENSIVE FACULTY INTRODUCTION
Miss JoJo received her education and training from Dean College and the University of Massachusetts Boston studying Dance and Business Management, with a Masters of Dance in the works at Montclair State University. Throughout life, Mrs. JoJo has been a part of many cabarets, musicals, step teams, and more. She currently teaches for the Dance Program at Holy Cross and Salem State University and also is the Director of their Hip Hop Ensemble. Joanne is the Founder and Executive Artistic Director of Afmohip, focusing on Hip Hop, African Diaspora, and Modern. She is also the lead in a Haitian folklore dance troupe known as Arc-en-ciel, focusing in Afro Haitian/West African, hip hop, modern, tap and jazz. Previously she has been a part of a Haitian folkloric and contemporary-infused dance, “Jean Appolon Expressions (JAE) Dance Company”, an Urban Hip Hop based crew, “Crewnex” and a Hip Hop Company known as “Street Hype.” Joanne has been featured in movies and has performed for major events and venues such as the Embassy in Washington, DC, Haitian Movie Awards, World of Dance, Hairspray the musical, José Mateo Ballet Theatre Annual Dance for World Community Festival, Boston City Hall, The Boston Contemporary Dance Festival at the Paramount Center in Boston, Annual Haitian Fund Conference, and many more. Today she performs worldwide with a drive to energize a whole atmosphere with high energy. We’re so excited to have Miss JoJo at our August Intensive!
