❤️ What are you going to start?
Blessed is she who starts.
SOMETHING.
Starts to read.
Starts to write.
Starts a new adventure.
Starts to realize just how far she’s come and refuses to waste that kind of hard-earned strength and instead decides to actually USE it.
Yes.
Blessed is she who starts.
Who stops making a million excuses because it’s far easier than starting the thing.
Who understands that Rome wasn’t built in a day so it’s unlikely that what she truly wants will be either.
Who is smart enough to know that if she planted a flower seed yesterday it’s doubtful it’ll be blooming today.
Who, quite frankly, is sick of simply going through the motions of life, especially since it’s likely she has fewer years before her than behind her and so maybe it’s high-time she throws off what’s been holding her back and tripping her up and finally just runs her own race and maybe it’s actually far EASIER now that she’s over the hill she spent fifty years climbing.
WORD.
Blessed is she who starts.
Starts checking in with herself on a regular basis; after all, if transformation of our flesh comes as a result of the hard, I reckon the same could happen for our heart-mind-and-soul through the hard conversations we have with ourselves.
Blessed is she who starts.
Who is willing to try.
Who takes the first step.
Who breathes deep and tells herself that God still has PLENTY left in the storehouse for her and so you better believe she’s gonna live each day excitedly wondering if today may just be the day that her eyes are opened to see something that in all of her years she hasn’t yet seen.
Yes.
Blessed is she who starts.
Who reaches out.
Who stretches herself.
Who begins a new habit that GIVES her life instead of robbing her of it.
Who takes…what she’s been given…and believes…it’s enough. And as she does, she pauses, and give thanks for all the She’s who’ve gone before her, all the She’s that now surround her, inspiring her and motivating her and pulling her butt outta bed and handing her the best cup of coffee and telling her how WORTH it she is….Cuz she is.
You’re worth it Beloved.
So consider bravely asking yourself today…
What am I (finally) going to start?
I’m cheering you on.
Love ya mean it, Amen.
