Tonight my heart is full. ❤️⚾
I know today was a long, hot day filled with a lot of baseball, a lot of emotions, and a lot of moving parts. We learned some lessons today and saw some things we can improve on for next year, and I can promise you this — we’re already talking about it!
But tonight, before anything else, I simply want to say thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
There honestly are not enough words in the world to explain what happened today or describe what it felt like watching this come together. Two months ago this was simply a vision, an idea, a conversation… and today we watched people from different communities, teams, organizations, and families come together for something much bigger than baseball.
To see all of you there today absolutely blessed our family in ways I can’t explain.
This would not have been possible without the incredible support of the Bonifay Police Department, Bonifay Fire Department, the City of Bonifay, every volunteer who gave their time, every umpire who stood in that heat, every coach, every player, every team that traveled long distances, every sponsor, every vendor, and every person who simply showed up and said, “How can I help?”
You all became part of something special today.
To the players — thank you for playing hard and showing sportsmanship.
To the coaches — thank you for believing in what this tournament stood for.
To the parents — thank you for the long drives, the support, and spending your Saturday with us.
To the volunteers — you are the heartbeat behind events like this.
And to everyone that shared a post, donated, spread the word, or prayed for us… you mattered more than you know.
Most importantly, thank you for helping us raise awareness and support for FOXP1 Syndrome and helping families all around the world who are fighting battles most people never see.
Colton, always remember this one, buddy.
This was the first one.
The very first Colton’s Champions Classic.
Years from now, people may see this event grow and get bigger, but they’ll never understand how special this first one was. They’ll never know the late nights, the stress, the phone calls, the prayers, and all the people who believed in a dream before they even knew what it could become.
We will remember.
From the bottom of our hearts, from the Horne family…
God bless every one of you.
See y’all next year. ❤️⚾🔥
