VILLAGERS WIN STREAK CONTINUES
May 29, 2016
The Meridian Villagers (4-4) continued their winning ways on Saturday, defeating the Nampa Knights (5-3) by a score of 27-25.
A crafty steal in Playground insults set the Villagers on their way, and despite a back-and-forth match, including a flawless 6 Things by Ross Merritt for Nampa, Meridian had just enough in the tank to get the win.
After spending much of the early season at the bottom of the standings, the Villagers are back to .500 and solidly in third place. They look to continue their run on Saturday, June 4 against the first place Eagle Storm (4-2), where a win would see them pull within ½ game of the leaders.
As for Nampa, they have an extended break until June 24, which is also against the Storm and will have first-place implications as well.
The season may be winding down, but the action is only heating up.
