Palmetto Prospects 12U - Gosnell

This past weekend our Palmetto Prospects 12U played in the Charlotte area. Saturday resulted in us going 1-1 which was good enough for the #3 seed in the Gold AAA/Majors Bracket. On Sunday, the boys powered through to win game #1 but fell short in the semi-final game to well coached team our of Charlotte.

Our Tournament MVPS are:

Hitting - Landyn Jackson - Landyn lead the team in AVG: 0.667 and OBP: 0.800, while driving in 4 RBIs, and scoring 5 runs. Great job Landyn! Keep up the great work

Pitching - Blake Durham - Blake pitched a total of 6.0 innings over the weekend while only allowing 6 hits, 4 earned runs, and collecting 6 ks. Great job Blake! Keep up the great work !

This past weekend our Palmetto Prospects 12U - Gosnell team finished runner up in the Gold Bracket in the PG Back to School Classic.

Pool play games on Saturday were rained out for us resulting in two draws. This seeded us 4th in to Bracket Play on Sunday. The team battled through intense heat playing 3 games to finish runner up in the first tournament of the "Fall"season!

Congratulations to our very own Cam Moon for winning the Perfect Game MVP this weekend in the PG All State games! Cam was the only player to hit 1.000 for the entire weekend! He didn’t just hit for contact either going for 3 doubles, 2 triples, and 2 singles! Scored 8 runs while also driving in 9! We are all proud of you Cambo!

This past weekend out Palmetto Prospects 11U - Gosnell team went to Shipyard park and competed against teams from Maryland, Virginia, and Tennessee.

We started a little sluggish in our first game of the weekend but after that it was time to play some ball. We ended Saturday's pool play 1-1 which was good enough for the #3 seed heading in to Bracket play. We ultimately feel to the #2 seed on a walk off in the bottom of the 5th inning due to time running out.

Very proud of how they played this weekend and the entire season. This season we had 9 games that was decided by 1 or 2 runs. You really get to see what your team is made of in these tense games. They grew in the game of baseball as well as their mentality and preparation. As a coach it was a wonderful thing to witness and be a part of. I can't wait to be back on the field with them come this fall!
