My oldest is officially an adult. Im so proud of the growth he has had over the last year. At one point I was worried. Im not anymore. He fought his way through some very hard things. We talk about how the hard things have to happen. How we overcome them shapes who we are as a person. Treyhton Anderson I can promise you more hard times are in store. But you will fight and become a better version of yourself each time.

Im 42….
My whole life I’ve heard the saying people have midlife crisis at ages 40-50. I would call it a midlife awakening.
I think this awakening comes when you have the realization that you are half way dead and you can put a number on the years you have left. Everything becomes infinitely more valuable. What you do with your time. The ones you chose to spend time with. You appreciate the small things. Like your health , being able to watch a sunset or the smell of the desert after a rain.

I can honestly say the last few years have been more like a life crisis. But I wouldn’t trade them for anything. The awakening was worth it.

Cherry Creek National was this last weekend. I’m trying to decide if racing while fat and out of shape is ok. I had fun so that’s all that matters I guess. Just sucks to have to ride at 75 percent. Because 5 minutes of 90 percent would make me throw up lol.

Raced the drunkards wash race in price last Saturday. Started 4th row with 70 racers in front of me. The dust was serious . Ended up 19th overall 1st over 40 guy. Had fun, made some passes off trail a guy my age probably shouldn’t have. 😬👍🏻👍🏻 next one is on the 9th of April.
