As this unforgettable summer of baseball comes to a close, I want to give one final shoutout to the 12 boys of the Nottoway Majors — your 2026 VIRGINIA STATE CHAMPIONS! ❤️💙

These boys accomplished something they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. They battled together, believed in one another, won a Virginia State Championship, and earned the honor of representing Virginia at the DYB World Series in Laurel, Mississippi.

Each one of you played a part in this incredible journey. Whether it was a big hit, a great defensive play, an inning on the mound, cheering from the dugout, picking up a teammate, or simply refusing to give up — every one of you mattered.

You didn’t just represent a baseball team in Mississippi. You represented Nottoway County and the Commonwealth of Virginia, and you did it with heart, determination and pride.

Years from now, you may not remember every score, every inning or every play — but you’ll remember the teammates beside you, the families in the stands, the coaches who believed in you, and the community that rallied behind you.

And you’ll always remember the summer you became STATE CHAMPIONS.

Boys, hold your heads high. Your families are proud. Your coaches are proud. Nottoway is proud. Virginia is proud.

It has truly been a privilege for me to share your journey, your accomplishments, your big plays, your victories and even the tough moments with everyone following along this summer. Thank you to everyone who read, watched, shared, commented and supported these boys along the way.

No matter where life takes these 12 young men, nobody can ever take this away from them:

💍❤️ Happy Anniversary, Amanda & Wayne! ❤️💍

We want to take a moment today to wish our manager Amanda and her husband, Wayne, a very Happy Anniversary!

This summer of baseball has required a lot of time, travel, long days, late nights, and sacrifice, and we can’t thank you both enough for everything you’ve given to our boys along the way.

Amanda, your dedication to this team and these boys throughout this incredible 2026 summer of baseball has meant more than words can say. And Wayne, thank you for supporting her and our team through it all!

We hope you both have an amazing anniversary and know how much the entire Nottoway baseball family appreciates you! ⚾️💙❤️

A huge thank you to all of the families, friends, and supporters who made the trip to Laurel, Mississippi to cheer on our Virginia State Champion Nottoway Majors!

Having so many familiar faces in the stands, cheering these boys on every inning, meant more than you know. You traveled the miles, battled the heat, waited through weather delays, and stood behind these boys through every high and low.

This World Series experience was about so much more than baseball—it was about family, community, and memories these boys will carry with them forever.

Thank you for showing up, cheering loud, and representing Nottoway and Virginia with pride! 🇺🇸⚾

It truly took a village to get these boys to Mississippi—and our village showed up BIG! 💙❤️

💙⚾️ VIRGINIA STATE CHAMPIONS — PROUD IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! ⚾️❤️

Our incredible run at the DYB World Series in Laurel, Mississippi has come to an end.

Today, our Nottoway Majors battled Alabama with everything they had. We jumped out to a 7–3 lead and fought until the very last out, but Alabama battled back and we ultimately fell 12–8.

The scoreboard may say our World Series journey is over, but it will NEVER tell the whole story of this team.

These boys earned the title of 2026 VIRGINIA STATE CHAMPIONS and earned the opportunity to represent Nottoway and the entire Commonwealth of Virginia on the World Series stage. That is something no one can ever take away from them.

They played with heart. They battled through adversity. They picked each other up. And most importantly, they never quit.

To our players — hold your heads HIGH. You made your families, your coaches, your community, and the entire state of Virginia proud. What you accomplished this summer is something you’ll remember for the rest of your lives.

To our coaches, parents, families, sponsors, businesses, and everyone back home who donated, shared posts, watched games, sent messages, prayed, and cheered these boys on — THANK YOU. You helped make this once-in-a-lifetime experience possible.

We came to Laurel as the Virginia State Champions, and that’s exactly how we’re coming home. 🏆

Game time vs Alabama!

⚾️ Plays of the Game! ⚾️

The scoreboard didn’t tell the whole story tonight. Our boys battled from the first pitch to the last, and these standout plays showed the heart and hustle of Team Virginia!

🔥 Messiah Reavis ripped a triple to spark the offense.

💪 Landon Paulett had a perfect day at the plate, going 2-for-2, and played an outstanding defensive game at first base. (Video in comments)

🎯 Daevon Knight made a great catch in left field and then showed off his arm by throwing out a runner trying to tag up and advance to third base. (Video in comments)

🏃‍♂️ Je’Siah Reavis displayed incredible hustle behind the plate, staying with a passed ball before quickly recovering and tagging out a runner attempting to steal home. (Video in comments)

These young men continue to represent Virginia and Nottoway with heart, hustle, and determination. We’re proud of the effort they bring every time they take the field.

Tough night for our Virginia State Champion Nottoway Majors, falling 10-0 after an unexpected 5.5-hour weather delay.

The final score doesn’t tell the story of how hard these boys competed against a championship-caliber team. Louisiana capitalized on two big home runs that accounted for 8 of their 10 runs, but our team never stopped battling from the first pitch to the last.

Win or lose, we’re proud of the heart, determination, and resilience these young men continue to show while representing Virginia and Nottoway on the World Series stage.

Tomorrow brings another opportunity.
