🐾 THIS WEEK IN WILDCATS ATHLETICS 🐾

Wildcat Nation, there’s plenty of action taking place this week in The Burg! Pack the stands. Bring the energy. YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!

Our BMS volleyball team will kick off the week by hosting Campobello on Wednesday. There’s more action on Thursday with both JV football and Varsity volleyball hosting Greenwood Christian and Midland Stem, respectively. Varsity football will cap the week with a non region matchup vs Thornwell Charter Academy. Friday night will be Difference Maker Night and we will also have a special recognition at halftime in honor of the 1976 State Championship 💍 🏈 team!

Congratulations to the Zaxbys Athlete of the Week, Antonio Gomez for his standout performance vs Chase. Since his transfer, Antonio has quickly established himself as one of the state’s best and a valuable member of the football team!

Last night was special as the athletic department honored and recognized the following individuals who have made a lasting impact on Blacksburg Athletics while paving the way for generations of Wildcats who follow!

Tomorrow, September 4th, is the first Blacksburg High School home game of the season, and we’re excited to be part of the Friday night fun right here in Blacksburg!

Cheer on the Wildcats, then head to El Vaquerito after the game for tacos, queso and all your favorites. We’ll be open until 11pm (or until the last guest is served) for every home game this season! 🌮🎉
