Unless you saw this game in person, you would not understand the determination and heart these boys put into their final game of the season. We are so proud of our Beach family! Here is the Game Changer recap… but it can’t truly express what happened.

Delmarva Aces Beach 14U Fall To Grit 14U CD On Walk-Off

A walk-off left Delmarva Aces Beach 14U on the wrong end of a 7-6 defeat to Grit 14U CD on Sunday at Current Location. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the seventh when Shane Calandrella singled, scoring one run.

Delmarva Aces Beach 14U got on the board in the first inning after a passed ball scored one run.

Delmarva Aces Beach 14U added one run in the second after Ethan Seman singled to center field.

Grit 14U CD tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a fly out by Will Dabney, and a double by Jayden Hong.

A fly out by Joe Manganiello gave Grit 14U CD the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the third.

Seman singled down the left field line, which helped Delmarva Aces Beach 14U tie the game at six in the top of the seventh.

Seman led things off on the bump for Delmarva Aces Beach 14U. The hurler surrendered seven hits and seven runs (three earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out three and walking four. Dabney stepped on the bump first for Grit 14U CD. The starter surrendered five hits and five runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking two.

Seman led Delmarva Aces Beach 14U with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The pitcher went 3-for-3 on the day. Nate Powell stole two bases.

Dabney led Grit 14U CD with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The pitcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Rocky Rosano, Grit 14U CD's number eight hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Rosano, Derrick Schooley, and Gavin O'Connor each stole multiple bases for Grit 14U CD. Grit 14U CD ran wild on the base paths, amassing 10 stolen bases for the game.
