Accessible resources, opportunities + spaces for women & TGNC climbers via events + education

www.instagram.com/heyflashfoxy We love it!

Flash Foxy was created to celebrate women climbing with women and foster creative design ideas for the outdoors. I met all these foxy climber babes over the last few years through our local climbing gym, mutual friends and climbing trips and realized how fun and supportive it is to climb with other women and genderqueer folks. While I love our male climbing partners and friends, I noticed that there was a unique dynamic when it was just us… whether at the climbing gym, outdoors or even just hanging out together. I hope you can come to Flash Foxy and feel inspired by and connected to a new kind of climbing community. We share stories about our thoughts, experiences and adventures as badass climbers! xx, Shelma

Our Mini Fest organizers Lou Lou Bank and May Marian (May) Perez took a much needed post-fest day-off romp up one of Lou’s favorite climbs (swipe to find out what it is) to celebrate a successful first Flash Foxy Mini Fest in the Gunks! Lou and May both learned to trad climb in the Gunks, have lived in the Gunks, and got their first guiding certifications in the Gunks ✨🌈 This place is very special to both of them, and it’s been a dream of theirs to plan an event here since they started working together for Flash Foxy nearly 5 years ago… and it finally happened!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH to every participant, volunteer, facilitator, guide, partner, and sponsor who made the 2026 Flash Foxy Mini Fest in the Gunks possible 💕
P.S. this climb was also Lou’s first multi-pitch climb back after two years of dealing with a foot/knee injuries, surgeries, and physical therapy 🥳🥳🥳

At all of our events, we host fundraisers for local community and Indigenous organizations, as well as for the Flash Foxy Scholarship Fund, and we are amazed once again at the generosity of the Flash Foxy community 🫶
At our Saturday raffle we raised a total of $1,329 to be split between North American Indigenous Center-NY Rise Outside and the Flash Foxy Scholarship Fund. As a continued acknowledgement that our events take place on and benefit from native lands, we also donate $5 from every ticket sale to accompany our donation to our local indigenous partners - which will be an additional $455 going to our friends at NAICNY.
At our Sunday raffle we raised a total of $850 to be split between Brown Girls Climb and the Flash Foxy Scholarship Fund. Prior to this event, the Flash Foxy Scholarship Fund was fully depleted, and thanks to generous fundraising from the community through our raffle, merch sales, and silent auction, we have raised $1,886 for 2027 scholarship fund! These funds help us provide free tickets, travel stipends, and ASL interpreters for our festivals.
A big thank you to all of the sponsors who donated goods to make our raffle and silent auction so enticing: Arc'teryx SCARPA North America Mohonk Preserve Little Loaf Bakeshop Rock And Snow ONCRUX Research-Based, Athlete-Proven Performance Nutrition YETI DMM Climbing Patagonia Brooklyn adidas Outdoor - Northeast Tech Rep Hitorii La Sportiva North America The North Face Megabeta Climbing Equipment
