I bought this boat for $40. Yep… forty bucks.

It leaked like heck, and in the middle of December, I had to paddle this thing across a freezing lake at night just to get it back to the truck. Then I drove an hour home with it.
Most people probably would've looked at it and said, “Throw it away.”
I looked at it and saw a second life.

After a metric TON of JB Weld and more spray paint than I care to admit we got her back on the water.

Slapped a Minn Kota trolling motor on the back, loaded up the gear, and started searching for ducks.

I knew I wanted to get into waterfowl hunting. I just didn't want to spend $100,000 to do it.
And here's the thing…
You don't have to either.

Sometimes all you need is a $40 Jon boat, a little elbow grease, some good buddies, and a willingness to get wet. 😂
$40 Jon boat → million dollar memories.

Working on the duck boat with Matt this evening. putting in the hard work before the season hits! 🦆🔥

Bringing this old boat back to life and giving it a few more years of making memories without having to spend an arm and a leg just to get it ready.

You don’t need a $60,000 boat to have a good time. Sometimes all you need is a John boat, some buddies, a little elbow grease, and a whole lot of memories waiting to be made.

Getting my girl Lexie in the groove with some good old-fashioned retrieving practice. A few dove retrieves now, and before long she'll be doing what she was trained to do in the duck hole. 🦆

This is Joe.

Joe is an avid hunter. He keeps the freezer full and our weekends fuller 🦆🦌🕊️.
If it isn't a hunting season, he's preparing for the upcoming season. He handles the logistic side of things. From planning the dates and times, to location and gear needed... He tries to ensure each hunt is successful. He's usually the one behind the camera taking videos and pics. 📸

When Joe isn't hunting, he's thinking about hunting. 😂 He spends his spare time with his wife and three children. Thankfully, they all enjoy the great outdoors too. You'll catch them in the blind here and there throughout the season. 😎
