Varsity Golf participated in a Regional tune-up round at The Emerald today and Garett finished in the top 10.....playing some good golf heading into the postseason. We're hoping to put it all together next Tuesday's Regional tournament.

BR Golf wrapped up the MMAC season at Willow Brook in Byron and we wanted to brag on Mason Reis who broke 80 today for the first time in a tournament. He finished runner-up by 1 stroke and today's score secured him a spot on the MMAC All-Conference 1st team. Stay tuned for our MMAC wrap-up news to follow........

BR Golf was back on the course today competing in the Saginaw County Invitational and shot our best score of the year heading into the back half of our MMAC conference schedule on Wednesday. Our standout today was Garett Martinus......check out his score on #10..........

Lakeville hosted a Jamboree today for any players who wanted to get some extra competitive rounds in. Hayden Adams, Wyatt Stevens, and Wyatt Zeilinger took part and played well. We wanted to shine a spotlight on Hayden, who shot a 38 and capturing 1st overall. He is a player who has been a contributor on the Varsity team this year and has taken a big step from his Freshman to Sophomore seasons.

Another solid outing for our Varsity team in Lakeville for our 3rd Jamboree of the season. We came up a little short, however, they continue to fight and there is A LOT of golf still ahead of us. All 6 Varsity players who competed put up good scores. Here's how it played out:

BR was back on the course for our 2nd Jamboree of the season at Twin Brooks in Chesaning. Another 2nd place for the Panthers, however, we shaved a couple strokes off of our team score from our first Jamboree. We are continuing to find our groove and working towards getting better every day. Garett, Mason, and Cole are continuing to carry the team on their shoulders as we all expected. I would like to, however, shine a light on a couple players who have contributed over the first two tournaments. Sophomore Hayden Adams has stepped up and found a place on this Varsity team early on in the season and we're hoping he continues to improve over the course of the season. Newcomer Ethan "Bobby" Elliott is a Junior and has only been playing golf for a short time, however, he has already earned a spot on Varsity and shot his personal best 43 yesterday in Chesaning. He has been very impressive over the first two Jamborees and the tournament atmosphere doesn't seem to phase him. He feels very comfortable competing and we are excited to see him along with Hayden grow over the course of the season next to our "Big 3".

We have a short turnaround and will be back on the course tomorrow @ 10 am in Lakeville for another MMAC Jamboree.

Due to the weather and course conditions, the Jamboree scheduled for April 14th @ Green Acres has been cancelled. We will try and reschedule for later in the season and will keep you updated with any changes.

April 9th was our first Jamboree of the year with all 9 MMAC teams present. We changed the format this year where all of our matches will include the whole league with all 54 Varsity players. We came up a little short, but it's a long season and we're going to keep working on getting better every day. Here's how the players fared individually:
