History was made on May 31. 🏅

The inaugural Billings Skyline Races 30K & Half Marathon brought runners from across Montana and beyond to take on the Rimrocks, rolling hills, rainy skies, and unforgettable views.

Thank you to every runner, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped make this first year a success.

And to our runners: congratulations. No matter your time, you conquered the course and earned that finish line medal.

Race weekend weather update for the Billings Skyline Races!

Friday is bringing the heat before cooler temperatures and possible rain move into Billings for race weekend. Current forecasts are showing a strong chance of rain on both Saturday and Sunday, so runners should come prepared for changing weather conditions on the Rimrocks.

Pack layers, a light rain jacket, dry clothes, and gear for wet conditions just in case.

The upside? Cooler race morning temperatures could make for a great day on the course. Rain or shine, it’s going to be an unforgettable inaugural Skyline Races weekend.

Trail Notice for Sunday, May 31

The Billings Skyline Races Half Marathon & 30K will take place Sunday, May 31 from 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the Billings Trail System.

Please use caution on the trails, as runners will be on the following routes:
• Dutcher Trail
• Black Otter Trail
• Skyline Trail
• Skyway Trail
• Alkali Creek Trail

Please also note that the gravel road to the lower parking lot at Two Moon Park will be closed during the event. The park will remain open, and access will still be available by walking down from the upper parking lot.

The Billings Skyline Races Half Marathon & 30K will take place Sunday, May 31, from 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the Billings Trail System.
