We have some exciting news that we’ve been keeping to ourselves…the legend is gone and we’ve moved a new car in. That’s right, Jett will soon be racing in a new class! The boys are working hard to get his new car put together and ready to rock. We also have the one and only Scott Bailey building Jett’s motor.

Thank you to Scott Bailey Racing Engines for your support! Obviously we don’t get legend motors from Scott but he helps in other ways. We met the Bailey family when Scott started building motors for Jett’s dad years ago. They quickly became more than friends to us, they’re like family. They have watched Jett grow up and share our love of racing. Jett is happy to have Scott on his car just like his dad did. Thanks Scott & Jenn!

How about a fun throw back Thursday! When Jett was younger he raced go karts and saw victory lane several times. He even raced a quarter midget once and won that race too.

Jett raced at Springfield Raceway last night. In his heat he started 4th and won. Once he got in the lead he was able to lay down the quickest lap time out of all the heats. This put him starting 4th for the feature. Unfortunately on the first lap of the feature he was hit by the car behind him. The hit caused him to spin out in front of the entire field causing a huge pile up of cars. Jett was hit hard in the drivers door then his car spun around and he was hit on the other side as well. He has lots of damage to the car, a bent seat and a few bruises. Jett was able to finish the race but wasn’t able turn the car very well so he ended up finishing 6th.
We are very glad that Wade Hobbs was not injured during his flip that was caused because of this wreck as well.

Last night Jett raced at Midway Speedway in Lebanon. He started 7th in his heat and quickly worked his way up to 2nd. Then on the last lap while battling for 2nd he spun out which put him finishing 7th. That finish put him starting deep in the field at 12th place for the feature. After the first lap he was in 7th place when a caution flag came out. He made to it second place and battled the leader for several laps before settling for a third place finish. Thank you to Midway Speedway for a great night of racing and for the fireworks show!
