Kartmania was a blast! Being able to watch the older racing divisions drive the entire track was awesome as well as educational! Seeing how they drive their lines  and plan each move is quite impressive to watch. My driving was good, but still a bit of a challenge due to a few of my faster competitors moving up to the cadet class. It was great watching them compete! The downside is now that some of the faster racers (Rollins Racing 😎) have moved out of the kid kart division, I have fewer drivers to chase to really improve my skills.  just another learning curve in the sport of racing!

Races two and three were challenging yet successful for sure. It was the first time doing back-to-back races in one weekend. Set a new lap PR on Saturday, but Sunday was certainly a challenge. Even driving a go kart like this can be physically taxing. And the exhaustion definitely set in on Sunday . A couple spin outs off the track, and some slower lap times. All in good spirit!

Race one was a success! First time out with the new kart and already beating personal lap records from last year. Steering felt smooth and tight. The new engine ran flawlessly. Had a slight issue with the brakes after the system got warm, but a simple adjustment was all it needed. Race two and three are this weekend! Let's see how much more time we can shave off 😎
