Our little graduates are celebrating big today with a WATER SLIDE and inflatable party at Red Bird Mission Preschool!

The fun kicks off at 11 AM TODAY (Wednesday, May 13th) so grab a towel, sunscreen, and your cheering voice and come help us celebrate our shining preschool grads. 🎉🛝

We thank God for the mothers and mother-figures in these hills and far beyond them – the ones who pray over scraped knees, haul kids to ballgames, keep supper on the table, and love with a quiet strength that can’t be measured.

From all of us at Red Bird Mission, happy Mother’s Day. We see you, we thank God for you, and we’re praying you feel His love wrapped around you every day. 🌷❤️

Days like this remind me that Grow Appalachia is more than a gardening program. It’s neighbors choosing hope together, one plant at a time. 🍅

Members were given tomatoes, trays of cabbages, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, kale, & kohlrabi – all the good for your body and soul greens. Before folks received their plants, we talked garden planning and members chimed in with their best tricks for keeping pesky crows and critters out of the garden.

🌱 Grow Appalachia Coordinator Kelton Adams shared his thanks: “We’re thankful for the donation of the tomatoes, and for Karen Alexander for coordinating this partnership with Ed Barnett. Thank you to all the folks at Murfreesboro UMC for delivering the tomatoes. This helps and goes a long way – it provides our members and our community with fresh veggies.”
