Quick tool you can use now: a 60-second pre-call wins ritual—list three small, recent wins to steady your presence before interviews. In the workshop you'll walk away with three things: 1) how to spot fixed-mindset patterns that sabotage screening calls, 2) simple mental practices to reset before live conversations so frustration doesn't show up, and 3) a way to treat rejection as useful feedback rather than a verdict. Join the free session Thu, Aug 6 · 6:00 PM EDT to practice these in real time: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/how-a-growth-mindset-can-help-you-land-a-job-faster-tickets-1995189087269

Myth: if you just pretend to be confident, interview nerves disappear. The better move is an honest, evidence-based reset: before a screening call, name one specific skill or moment you improved since your last interview—it pulls you out of defeat and into progress. That shift from “I failed” to “I learned” stops frustration from leaking into your calls. Want to practice that habit live? Join my free workshop on Thu, Aug 6 · 6:00 PM EDT and learn how to leave frustration at the door: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/how-a-growth-mindset-can-help-you-land-a-job-faster-tickets-1995189087269

More than a third of entry-level jobs now ask for AI skills.

A year ago, almost none did.

And most candidates aren't mentioning them at all.

The National Association of Colleges and Employers found roughly 35% of entry-level roles now expect some AI fluency, and the share of postings mentioning AI has nearly doubled in a year. The market is moving fast, and there's a gap between what employers now want and what candidates think to put on the page.

That gap is your opening.

You almost certainly use these tools already. Drafting with AI. Summarizing research. Speeding up analysis. Building something faster than you could before.

Most people don't think to name it. So it stays invisible.

Make it visible.

Add a line to your skills section. Work it into a bullet: "cut research time using AI tools." Show, concretely, that you're fluent in the way work is actually done now.

You don't have to be an AI expert.

You just have to prove you're not standing still.

P.S. How are you already using AI in your work? That's a resume line hiding in plain sight.

The most valuable words in a job posting aren't written down.

They're implied.

And that's where most applicants miss.

The hard skills are easy. They're listed plainly. Excel. Project management. SQL. Everyone applying can read those and check the boxes.

But the soft skills, the ones that actually decide fit, are hidden between the lines.

"Works in a fast-paced environment" really means adaptability. "Partners with cross-functional teams" means collaboration and communication. "Wears many hats" means resourcefulness and ownership.

Here's the move: pull up three real postings for your target role. List the obvious hard skills, then hunt for the buried soft skills underneath the phrasing.

Those implied skills are your roadmap. They tell you exactly which stories to tell and which strengths to surface.

Read what the posting says.

Then read what it means.

P.S. What's a job-post phrase you've learned to translate?

Over a long search, your confidence will dip.

That's not a warning. It's a promise.

So here's the distinction that keeps you standing.

Confidence is what you do. It rises and falls with your circumstances. A good interview lifts it, a month of silence flattens it. That's normal, and it's temporary.

Worth is what you are. It doesn't move when the inbox stays quiet.

The mistake most job seekers make is treating them as the same thing. So when confidence drops, they feel worthless. And a person who's quietly stopped believing in themselves shows it, in ways a hiring manager can feel.

When your confidence dips, your worth is the floor you stand on.

Say it out loud on the hard days: even when I doubt my ability, I do not doubt my worth.

Confidence you rebuild through action.

Worth you simply remember.

P.S. Which of the two is harder for you to hold onto right now?

Here's the single edge almost no candidate is using.

The whole market runs on one idea.

Doing more with less.

When teams are lean and every dollar is watched, the people who get hired are the ones who prove they understand that, not by talking like an MBA, but by showing, in small concrete ways, that they make teams faster, leaner, and better.

Not long ago, that kind of thinking was a manager's job.

Today it's everyone's edge.

So look through your experience for the moments you saved time, cut a step, fixed a clunky process, or did more with a smaller budget. Then put those front and center.

A bullet that says you "managed the newsletter" is invisible. A bullet that says you "cut production time in half by building a reusable template" speaks the exact language a stretched hiring team is desperate to hear.

You don't need "operations" in your title.

You just need to show you get it.

P.S. When did you last make something at work faster, leaner, or cheaper?

Somewhere in your search, you've felt completely alone.

The blank page. The silent inbox. The 11pm doubt.

I know that feeling, because I lived it.

I spent fourteen years at my dream company, sure they'd eventually see my work. When I finally got the interview I'd wanted since I was a kid, I flew across the country, sat through days of it, and heard nothing. Weeks of following up. Then a quiet "we went with someone else."

No feedback. No reasons. Just silence.

What turned it around wasn't a clever tactic. It was a mentor who walked beside me and helped me see what I'd missed. And letting go of the belief that I had to carry the whole thing alone.

So I built the companion I wish I'd had back then.

Alberto is a calm, structured, human-centered system for the entire search. It organizes the chaos with a Job Tracker. It turns your experience into results-driven bullets. It helps you build and rehearse your interview stories, and steadies your mindset on the hard days. And inside it, you can join me live each week with real people asking real questions.

You don't have to run this search alone.

I didn't. You shouldn't either.

P.S. Bring your values. Alberto brings the system.

Economists have a name for this job market.

"No-hire, no-fire."

And it explains exactly why your search feels stuck.

When employers stop both hiring and firing, the whole thing freezes. Fewer roles open, fewer people move, and your applications land in a market with very little turnover. One economist described June as an "unmoving tide": not much pulling people in, not much pushing them out.

In a frozen market, the old strategy fails hardest.

Applying to everything is a numbers game, and the numbers just got worse. When openings are scarce, volume doesn't save you. Precision does.

So stop firing applications into the freeze.

Build a real target list: the specific companies and roles you actually want. Research them. Tailor your story. Follow up like someone who chose them.

A frozen market rewards the candidate who goes deep on a few.

Not the one who goes wide on everything.

Aim. Don't spray.

Applying to every job that moves isn't a strategy.

It's just exhaustion with a number attached.

There's a better way, and it borrows from marketing.

Run your search like a campaign. A campaign has a target: a defined list of the specific companies and roles you actually want, not everything you're technically qualified for.

Then it has a system to track every touchpoint, so nothing slips and no warm lead goes cold.

Here's what changes when you do this. You stop reacting to whatever posting appears and start pursuing what you chose. You spend your energy on fit instead of volume. And your effort compounds, because you can see it.

Spray-and-pray feels productive.

Targeted feels slow, right up until it works.

Pick your targets. Build your system. Work the campaign.

P.S. Are you chasing every opening, or a chosen few? Be honest.
