Derek was able to play a special part in Fridays race at BMQMA. In honor of First Responders and Military night, some of the kids drove around the track with flags during the National Anthem. Derek was one of those chosen.

Brawl at Blue is this weekend. Derek has a tough day. He started pole in heat 1 and finished 3. He then started 7th in his second heat, they inverted the entire field for this one and he finished 3. He then started 6th in his A main was running 5th the the 6th place car took him out for the second time on the last lap causing Derek to get squirrelly and cause him to finish last.

Julianna had speed issues from the get go. We thought it was just her not getting on the gas. She ran her first heat and finished last not without damaged. She bent the front tie rod. went out for her second heat and got nailed on the last lap bending a second tie rod. Fixed that and we sent her out for the B main and she was going even slower to the point, that under a caution we just pulled her off before her or someone else got hurt. After looking over the car and going over some things we found that the carburetor was bad. We put Derek on to see if that was the issue and her car sound so much better. Time to buy a new one and put that on. She runs tomorrow also. Hopefully she has a much better day!

Last night Julianna looked a little better. You can see she is at a point where she is get a little more comfortable in the car. She definitely has a way to go, but she is getting there. She finished 4th in her feature.

Derek had another good night with a solid run. He started P1 in his heat and led a bunch of laps when the second place car nail him and spun him. He finished 4th. In his feature he started 4th, he was as able to apply the corrections he was given from his heat and made his way up to second where he was battling for the lead at the end and once again just missed the win by near inches finishing second. This kid impresses me every week with how well he is doing this season.

Last night Derek and Julianna were both in action. Julianna made her return after being sidelined for the last 7 weeks due to a broken arm.

He had a descent night. Pulled 2nd to start her heat, but we felt it was best to scratch her to the rear. She finished last in bother her heat and feature. We did see some improvement from the last time she ran with her speed. In time she’ll be right up there with the rest.

Derek had another good night. He started 5 in his heat and finished last. The track was not good.

In his feature he started last and finished 3. He had another solid run. He missed getting second by and inch or too. Another lap or so and he would have most likely has a solid second. Each week we are seeing so much improvement with him,
