U10 State Cup Champions FORZA GREEN are phenomenal players and social activists!
“Social Greening for a Better World Can Start Small”
Auburndale Soccer Club's FORZA BU10 Academy Green Team, New York State Cup Championship titleholders, dedicated their October and November victories to cause awareness. The team pictured below sported pink socks at all of their October games to support breast
cancer awareness. Immediately after winning their November 13th game all players and their families led a march around the field holding up the American flag in honor of all those who serve our country and all of those who gave their lives for our great country. Their recent wins, place this high-achieving team in the top position of the New York State Premier Soccer League’s top division for their age group. Furthermore they are in the top position of the elite division in their competition for the 2017 New York State Cup. Forthcoming, the team will sport green socks to honor and remember those affected by the massacre at Sandy Hook. The holidays are magical because we as a diverse people take time to unite and celebrate our love and lives. This special team wants to take time to make those of Sandy Hook feel loved and remembered. The team hopes that their interest in representing these important causes as young soccer players will ignite families to educate and inspire young children everywhere about the many great causes out there. When offered a donation the team decided to give a part of their donation to their cause for that month! They plan to do so with all of their future fundraising and donations for causes. Learning to give and when possible using talents to help others and spread love, not only makes the world a better place, but builds character. Just as companies are environmentally green this young teams believes we can all be more socially green! Their team mantra and motto is “Social Greening for a Better World Can Start Small”. FORZA GREEN and their families believe building awareness for kindness and character is their contribution for social greening!
