Panthers Win!

Two games up! Two games down!

Panthers win in the first round of the state playoffs over the Stallions of South Columbus 66-12. Kenae Edwards, Jordan Speller and Zamareya Jones all had strong games while Khamoni Heath came off the bench and added an element. The team will play again Friday at home.

Panther Baseball wins 12-11 over Edenton Holmes to start the season 2-0. Kam Little-Burgess was a magnet in center field as the team came back to win in the bottom of the 7th from one down.

Ty Sherrod goes 3-4 and senior pitcher Garrett Bailey comes in for the save as the Panthers start the season on the right side of things winning 6-5 over the Havelock Rams. Nice work fellas!

🔹🔸 Baseball Schedule Drop 🔸🔹

The spring season is ready to launch and up first will be the Panther Baseball team under the leadership of new head coach Sam Linkous. Coach Linkous, a past player and assistant for the Diamond Panthers takes the helm with the intention of growing and strengthening the programs base.

The team takes first aim at Havelock High School tomorrow with a 5pm first pitch before games against past conference foes Beddingfield and Nash Central, non-conference county opponent South Central, and playing in the EPC one of the East’s top 2A conferences. As always, the spring season is one of constant change, stay tuned to North Pitt social media for announcements about possible and upcoming schedule adjustments.

The team is led by a senior class looking to bounce back including Garrett Bailey and Kam Little-Burgess. Junior leaders include catcher Kolby Burroughs and Bryce Henderson, and a strong freshman class. Numbers have grown in the program as the team is close to re-establishing a JV team for the first time in years.

It’s time for North Pitt Baseball! Come out to the ballpark!
