Starting them young. Mascoutin’s 2 day camp of Teeny Tiny Tots (age 5-6) and Little Linksters (age 7-8) had 25 enthusiast golfers. The first day’s clinic was on the putting green and the groups also saw grounds crew change a cup. The session ended with a field trip on the course and the kids had fun screaming through the tunnel.
Day 2 the big clubs came out on the driving range. Emphasis was on a proper swing and how a golf swing is different from a baseball swing. The group also saw how the sprinkler system works and waters the course every night.

Mascoutin Golf Club Ladies Champion. 7 Mascoutin Ladies Members played in the Club Championship on July 21. Kris Boogren won the gross with an 84 and Debbie Groh won net with a 76.

Junior Golf was in full swing for their 4th session of the 6 week program. The 84 young golfers have a 30 minute classroom discussion about golf topics, a 30 minute lesson with the golf professionals and then spend 2 hours on the course practicing what they have been taught. The players are getting psyched up for their final session on July 29 which is the Junior Golf Tournament. We will keep you posted with the results and of course more photos!
