My day job took me to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and I couldn't resist adding a few days of diving. Weedy Sea Dragons, Sea horses, Giant Cuttlefish, Decorator Crabs, Octopus, and beautiful corals were among the highlights and mostly all shore dives! Highly recommend Sam and Rose and the entire crew at The Scuba Doctor in Rye, Victoria.

Divers found because of their flashing beacon. I never dive without one, nor a signal mirror, whistle, and SMB.

After a 36-hour search, the Coast Guard rescued two Oklahoma scuba divers who went missing amid severe weather off Matagorda beach in the Texas Gulf.

Returning from Cancun, Riviera Maya, and Playa del Carmen. Enjoyed 82 degree water and some drift diving at Tortugas near Playa del Carmen with Xtreme Dive Centers in Playa del Carmen. Diving with my wife is always fun for me. And then I went diving with The Cenote Guy (guide Sebastien) for 2 awesome deep dives - Cenote Zapote and Cenote Kin Ha. Highly recommend. Both have an unusual formation on the stalactites that's still growing - a bacteria they said - in the shape of large bells with a texture like honeycomb. And for the non-divers in your crew - Zapote offers a 3-4 hour tour of 4 cenotes (2 open and 2 caverns) that are some of the best we've visited. Ping me for recommendations any time.

I am a PADI Divemaster with experience diving cold-water dive sites around the Pacific Northwest. I enjoy assisting with scuba classes, helping certified divers with ReActivate so they can get back in the water safely and with confidence, and of course, diving just about anywhere there is water! I am currently learning underwater photography so that I can share some of my adventures. I work closely with Central Oregon Diving in Bend, Oregon.
