Tryouts for the 2024-2025 Winter cheer season will be held April 22, 23 and 25 from 3:30-5 in the BHS commons. Tryouts are open to ALL current 8th-11th graders. For more information check out our Instagram page at Bemidjihscheerleading or scan the QR code and fill out the interest form!

Jacks at CDH tonight!

GAME DAY! Go Jacks!!

What a wonderful time with these girls yesterday! Cheer coach Paula and the cheerleaders for Jacks football came over to my place after school for pizza, popcorn and snacks, a movie, then we headed back to the high school for media photos! These girls do AMAZING stunts, and I often miss them during games because its a big field and if I'm not over there, I don't catch it. So we had a blast doing them planned, showing how hard these girls work in practice!

Back to Paula, the coach. Who is SO much more than a coach to these cheerleaders! She is a mentor, she is a trusted leader, she is an inspiring, joyful, incredible woman who has not only been part of hundreds of girl's lives over the last decades that she's coached, but also CHANGES lives. My own daughter included. Of all the people Sierra has met in her life, Paula made the greatest positive impact. Not only from cheer, but student council as well, for many years. I can't thank Paula enough, and I am honored to call her a friend.

Lift up these students you encounter in the community, but also...encourage a coach, a teacher, an assistant...these adults pour their hearts and souls into these kids, and don't do it for the praise, accolades, or money-they do it for the kids.

Who can you thank today? Who can you encourage today?

Oh....and GO JACKS!! We are headed to Cretin Durham Hall today for a very tough matchup, so lets cheer on this team!!

Kids camp #2 for the summer is geared toward older kids and as such is a longer and more involved camp. The kids learn cheer basics and even move into some intermediate stunts, they learn how to use flags, signs and megaphones to help lead the crowd, sideline cheers and chants, dance, jumps and what it means to be a cheerleader, a good teammate and most importantly how to work together. These kids were great and a few of them are not far off from being able to try out for our team! We can’t wait to see them on the BHS sidelines!

Eight Bemidji High School cheerleaders received an All-American honor at the Universal Cheerleading Association home cheer camp in Bemidji.

This was our second year holding UCA home Camp. Our team learned a lot of the course of 3 days and we plan on using everything we learned during our upcoming seasons. Thanks to the amazing Angel for being our coach! Can’t wait for next year!!

This was our first of 2 kids camp that we hold during the summer. These kiddos are entering Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
