🏀❤️ Prep Girls Hoops Tournament Recap ❤️🏀
What a weekend for our WI Fever 12U squad at the Prep Girls Hoops tournament in Mishawaka! While our record didn’t reflect the heart these girls played with, one thing is certain… this team never quits.
We battled against some of the top competition in the Midwest, pushing multiple nationally recognized teams down to the wire. Two of our losses came by just 3 and 4 points, proving we belong on the floor with anyone.
We finished the weekend with an impressive 61-44 victory over Elite Heat, playing complete team basketball from start to finish.
🔥 Weekend Highlights:
🏀 Camia averaged over 22 points per game, including performances of 29, 26, and 22 points.
🏀 Natalynn had an incredible weekend on both ends of the floor, dominating the glass while putting up multiple 20+ point performances and averaging 10.3 rebounds per game.
💪 Ka’Miyah was a force defensively with huge rebounds, blocks, and hustle plays that don’t always show up in the box score.
👏 Kortlynn, Molly, Brooklynn and Ki’Asia all stepped up in key moments, making winning plays whenever their number was called.
More importantly, we saw growth. We saw resilience. We saw these girls compete until the final buzzer every single game.
The scoreboard doesn’t always tell the full story. Every tournament, every possession, every challenge is preparing this group for what’s ahead. We’re proud of the fight, proud of the effort, and even more excited about what’s next.
