What a night! We started out the day practicing both the pro late and the outlaw feeling good in both cars and making gains on both of them landing around the top 5 in overall speed in both.
Qualifying came and in the pro late we timed in at a 16.06 which put us in the invert.
The outlaw we made a change to try something and it was opposite of what we were looking for. We timed in just outside the invert and started near the rear.
We started the race in p1 for the pro late race and the stagger blew up too big and we hung on to 8th.
Chet Monaweck had a great race and drives it from p16 to p7 at the end!
In the outlaw race we started p16 and had nothing but things to learn as I had never felt the type of aero effects before. Between that and no spotter racing, this is where I felt at home. Searching for grip, moving around, making moves. It felt like the raw spirit of true short track racing. We moved up to p10 over the last run and tracked down the 5th place group at the end but just didn’t have enough time.
It was awesome experiencing the hospitality of a group like Reveal The Hammer and all of their teams inside the organization. I felt the true sportsmanship as it seemed like a lot of people and drivers just help each other out and have fun.
I appreciate all of our sponsors and team members throughout the season and everyone that has given me an opportunity to run a car or help them out this year. It has been a fun end to a lack luster year for us. We will be back with something, just need to see what is a good fit for next year before any commitments are made!
