Two weeks. One incredible ending.
A couple of weeks ago, I got a call about a dog named Banjo who had been missing for nearly two weeks. I headed out to search, but with no recent sightings, it was difficult to narrow down where he might be.
Instead of giving up, I spent time going door-to-door, handing out ThermalTrail Drone Recovery business cards to nearly every house in the area, hoping someone would spot him and call.
Tonight, that call finally came.
Someone had seen Banjo crossing the road, so I jumped out of bed, loaded up the drone, and headed out immediately. The heavy smoke in the air made my visual camera almost useless, so I had to rely entirely on the thermal camera. I spotted what I believed was Banjo based solely on the size and shape of the heat signature. I wanted to confirm it with the visual camera, but the smoke made that impossible.
I shared the location with Nichole, and she went straight to him.
Banjo is finally home safe and sound!
This is exactly why I do what I do. It isn’t always quick or easy, and sometimes it takes patience, persistence, and a little faith that the next phone call will be the one that changes everything.
Thank you to everyone who kept an eye out, made that phone call, and never gave up on Banjo. Welcome home, buddy! 🐶🚁🔥
