Had some good old friends from back in the EI days for half day Thursday and only three ours this morning. Caught probably 25 to 30 yesterday and between 75 to 80 this morning. This morning was one of the top five bites I have had. Did not keep any fish. Have open dates after Christmas.

Still have a few open dates in December. The bite in late November early December has been as good as it gets.

Had some senior guys on the boat today (Including the Captain). Ed Spooner from South Carolina and brother Ray Spooner from Oregon. Lost count on the numbers but these guys fished hard all day. Back at it tomorrow before these guys head to Hatteras.

Had David Hayes fishing with me today. Caught around 30 to 35. Had a lot of fish in the 14” to 15” range. Boated 4 that were over the slot around 22” to 23”. Storms ran us out right before lunch. Most all bit top water. Open dates next week.

Went on a scouting trip this morning locating some trout for this weeks charters. On the second stop, lost count on the numbers we caught with some really good quality fish. Here is one that is 26”. Should be a good week if anyone wants to keep a few fish. Have dates available next week.

Want to go ahead and give you guys an update on this years BTTF. The dates will be October 10th and 11th. Captains meeting will be held at the River Forrest Manor on October the 7th.
Looks like the NC Wildlife will start construction of the new boat launching facility where we normally have the event so the site will have to be moved. The new location will be held at the Market closer to down town Belhaven. We will use the existing NC Wildlife ramp behind the Fire Dept. to put in. Teams will not be able to park at the ramp but we will have other locations to park and golf carts to transport anglers back and forth to the ramp. Further details will come.
The dates are already on the website along with last year pictures and a new video.
