Went and checked on some of my old flounder holes this morning. Picked up this guy thumbing a ride on the way. Had a good catch before it got too hot. Should be a good two weeks.

Had the Huettmann family from Pinetown fishing with me Thursday. They decided to flounder fish in the morning instead of drum fishing and did it pay off. Released over 30 before lunch. Founder fishing has been as good as it gets with the season coming up. Still have a few days left if anyone wants to go.

Went out looking for some flounder this weekend. We caught around 20 in about an hour Friday morning. Still have a few open dates. Fish here are 20” plus fish.

The early morning stripper and slot drum bite has been great this week. Had Taylor and Worth Barker with me today. Worth, six years old caught this fish by himself this morning on a popping cork. Was still smiling when he left the dock.

Looks like we are going to have a flounder season the first two weeks in September. Still have some open dates left to go catch some good quality flounder.

Had some good old friends from back in the EI days for half day Thursday and only three ours this morning. Caught probably 25 to 30 yesterday and between 75 to 80 this morning. This morning was one of the top five bites I have had. Did not keep any fish. Have open dates after Christmas.

Had a fun half day trip today with some old friends and new friends from Wilmington. Graham and Bill tried some new baits today and it paid off. They are heading your way Grey so look out. Still have a few open dates in December. The bite in late November early December has been as good as it gets.

Had some senior guys on the boat today (Including the Captain). Ed Spooner from South Carolina and brother Ray Spooner from Oregon. Lost count on the numbers but these guys fished hard all day. Back at it tomorrow before these guys head to Hatteras.
