AXGL NEW JERSEY HAS HIJACKED THE PEX WEBSITE 🚨

For a limited time, the Amateur Extreme Golf League – New Jersey has taken over the PEX Golf League website.

Why?

Because we are actively building the first AXGL New Jersey league and we’re looking for competitive private club players and clubs that want to be part of something new.

AXGL is a team-based amateur golf league built for players who are tired of the same old club tournaments and want real competition.

We’re looking for clubs that have:
⛳ Competitive low-handicap players
⛳ Strong club identity and pride
⛳ Members who want a high-energy team format

If that sounds like your club, head over to the PEX Golf League website where we’ve posted details about AXGL NJ and how to register your interest.

👇 Check it out and tell us:

Which New Jersey club should have the most dominant AXGL team?

Tag your club or your foursome.

Let’s see who’s ready. 🔥

Looking for a new and exciting golf league?? The AXGL is forming teams in New Jersey for the 2026 season.

10 person (COED) teams (6 starters, 4 shot makers)

8 Teams in the league

7 week regular season, single elimination post season tournament

The format for the AXGL is different than what most people are accustom to. This is as true to team golf as you can get with Offense and Defense, Substitutions during play, and a point scoring system that rewards superior play

Cash prizes awarded per game with the championship winner receiving a cash prize of $1,000 per starter and $750 per shot maker

Team entry fee equates to about $125 per round for starters and $62.5 per round for "shot makers" (Shot makers are team subs)

The league is primarily for private club members. However, if you would like to submit a public course team you must submit the team course for approval along with your team application

Message me if you are interested and I will send you a registration form. Filling out the form does not guarantee entry into the league nor does it commit you to joining.

AMATEUR EXTREME GOLF LEAGUE (AXGL)

Official Playing Format

1. League Structure

Total of 8 teams.

6 starting positions with up to 4 additional shot makers that may be used to sub in to make clutch shots.

2 players per group (1 from each team), 6 groups per match

7-week regular season

Single elimination post season tournament

Each match consists of 12 Holes played from the tips (par fours and fives. No par threes)

2. Offensive & Defensive Play

Before the match:
Home Team selects either Odd or Even holes as their Offensive holes.
Visiting Team automatically receives the opposite set.

OFFENSE:

If the offensive player:
1. Hits the fairway in regulation AND
2. Outdrives the defensive opponent

They may choose ONE:

Option A — Move their own ball 10 paces along line of play closer to the green.

Option B — Move opponent’s ball backward towards the tee 10 paces.

In either case, the defensive player would forfeit any points earned for hitting the fairway in regulation.

DEFENSE:

If the defensive player hits their approach shot on the green in regulation and is closer to the pin than his opponent , he may choose to move his opponent of the green along the line of approach.

In this case the offensive player would forfeit any points earned for hitting the green in regulation.

If they elect not to mive their opponent off the green, their opponent would keep their points earned.

3. AXGL Scoring System (Points-Based)

Points are awarded per hole per player.

Scoring Breakdown:
• Double Eagle: +6
• Eagle: +4
• Birdie: +3
• Par: +1
• Bogey: -1
• Double Bogey: -2
• Triple or worse: -3

Bonus Skill Points:
• Fairway in Regulation (FIR): +2
• Green in Regulation (GIR): +2
• Sand Save (Par or better): +1
Hole out from off the green +1

Player scoring the low round of the match earns a 5 point bonus for their team.

4. Substitution Rules
• Teams may substitute players from their shot maker pool or from other starting positions for clutch shots.
• Maximum 6 substitutions per match per team.

5. Ready Golf & Energy Policy

AXGL promotes:
• Ready golf
• Simultaneous putting allowed
• Encouraged fan energy during play
• Looser traditional etiquette

Players must maintain pace and respect safety, but:
Silence during swing is NOT mandatory.

This is designed for modern audience engagement.

• Highest cumulative team score wins the match.

Teams earn:

The Amateur Extreme Golf League (AXGL) is launching in New Jersey.

We are forming competitive, team-based amateur squads built from serious golfers who want more than casual weekend play.

• 6–10 player teams
• Strategic offensive & defensive holes
• Substitutions
• High-energy match format

If you are a NJ golfer, please complete the attached survey to help us gauge interest and shape the inaugural season.

If you’re outside New Jersey, take the survey as well — AXGL expansion into additional U.S. regions is already in planning.

Your input will directly influence format, pricing, and regional rollout.

Take the survey. Share with your golf network. Then ask yourself - Do I have what it takes? Can I take the Extreme pressure of AXGL?
