Congratulations to all three of our teams this past weekend. We had a great showing at the Carolina Volleyball Classic in Rocky Mount. Our 11U got second place in the 12u division losing in the championship to a really good 12U team but bringing home some hardware. Both our 13U and 18U teams placed 5th, with the 18U only losing to the team who won the tournament. A great showing from the only WV team out of 126 teams.

This past weekend our 11-1 team played extremely well in their opening weekend. We lost to a very good national team in the semifinals on Sunday. They finished in 3rd place in the gold division. We could not be more proud of our girls.
Our 13-1 team had an exceptional weekend. In the gold division final second set, we were down 24-16 and fought back to take match to a third set. May be the best comeback I’ve seen. Girls fought entire match but ended up losing 3rd set 15-13 to finish 2nd place in gold bracket.
Our 18-1 team also played in gold bracket final. Lost in the 3rd set to finish 2nd. We are very proud of this group. Not only finishing 2nd in our first tournament but providing great guidance and leadership to our young players. We cannot thank you girls enough for taking care of our younger players.
Starting a new club has not been easy. Walking away from first tournament with 2 second place finishes and a 3rd place is great way to start the season. We cannot wait to get back to practice preparing for next event
