Tire preparation is a full day’s work, comprising of multiple steps. First, picking out the best of our old tires that still may have some life left in them and mount them up on wheels. Then, using a grinding disc, grind off the outer layer of worn out and dried up rubber, then put in a series of tiny cuts, called “sipes,” throughout the tire tread, and finally groove them. Then, since we’re resurrecting old, dried up used tires, to put some oils back in them, we coat in WD40 and let them soak all week long.

One more week until we hit the track.

New body panels have been mounted on the Bicknell. Other than decals and new side bars, this one is race ready.

Just because we’ve been quiet lately, doesn’t mean we’re not working hard toward next season. We’ve got both cars crammed into our little garage, going through them both and refreshing one motor. Waiting on some new body panels, some work on our heads, and shocks rebuilt. Really not too far away.

We greatly appreciate the support we received for a successful 2025 season from all our fans, and sponsors: John Mills Electric, Easydoesthat Automotive LLC, Lowery Family Farms and Gary Hotelling. We are determined to come back even stronger in 2026.

Interested to know if there are any seats available for next weekend’s big crate sportsman race at Woodhull, and/or the October race at Outlaw. I’ve got a couple sets of really good tires, and could contribute in other ways, too, if I’ve got a car available.

Made our way over to Outlaw Speedway tonight for the big show. Drew 44/50, so that should line us up in the back of the pack for our heat race.
