SURPRISE!!! The 1441 Hayabusa big tire bike made its reappearance today after a longggg hiatus.

Josh has been racing his 1170 KZ small tire bike the last few years. Although the KZ has a lot of sentiment to him, he has made great history and memories on his big tire bike. We just felt like it was the right time to put it back together and see what it could produce for him after the KZ has been having an array of issues throughout the season.

Unfortunately Mother Nature kept us from testing the Busa and working out the kinks before race day today, so the first test pass on the big tire bike was literally the first and only time run 😅

For the time run the bike proved she’s got a lot in her but headed hard to the right so Josh let out early and didn’t get a full run with an accurate time slip.

First round we had to dial blind and she headed straight on over to the right again. Josh stayed in it, and you would’ve seen all of us spectators leaning over FOR Josh in hopes he wouldn’t go over the center 😂

Josh did great and stayed in his lane but there’s some adjustments and testing to be done before the next race in 3 weeks! With an axle and wheelie bar adjustment (so the bike and rider can stay straight 🤭🥴), and maybe a tweak to some tuning or two, we’ll be in great shape.

Thank you to Thomas Bixler and Jen Mathis for the help today, as usual! ❤️

We’ve been a little quiet over here, but for good reason! We’ve been BUSY! From travelling, chasing a kiddo around, had over a month off from our bracket program, and MAYBE putting in late nights in the shop for something that might show up at this weekends race 🤭 we just don’t want to speak too soon, you know how that is 😉

We’ll be at Great Lakes Dragaway this weekend — we hope to see you there!

Today was a GOOD day with the best bike/sled turnout yet this year at Great Lakes Dragaway! 💪💪 Let’s keep that rolling and don’t think we’ve forgotten about who else we’d love to show up in the lanes 😉

Tad joined the guys and hung out on his own big tire bike while waiting in the lanes. 🫶🏼

Josh made it to the semis against some great competition and the weather was perfect.

Hoping for a repeat, or better, tomorrow!

Race weekend #2 recap 🏍️💨 (we are a whole race weekend behind)

It’s been a busy few weeks chasing a few issues on the bike, but we’re still going rounds and staying competitive. Josh Bixler was flying solo for weekend #2 and came out ready to work right off the trailer.

Saturday started strong with a .006 light, followed by a killer .001 first round reaction time. Josh stayed deadly on the tree all day and worked his way through the field to land in the finals for the second Saturday in a row. He threw out his “worst” light of the day with a .014 to the opponent’s .028, but couldn’t quite cover the number and came up just short of the win.

Sunday he came back swinging and grabbed the bye run after posting the best reaction time of the only time trial. Unfortunately with an even number of bikes and sleds, he had to race for it anyway. He carried the bye through first round before getting beat on the tree in round two and was chased down on the top end.

Overall, not a bad weekend at all and plenty to build on. We loaded up with a list of things to fix and went right back to work getting ready for race weekend #3… recap coming in a couple days 👀🔥

A special thank you to a couple people:
Morgan Bixler for making all of this possible, Kyle Collins and Midwest Muncie Jeff Collins for helping Josh all weekend, Robin Norris for running a great program for us, and Mr. Fabulous Photography for the incredible photos.
