This young man has come down to the docks everyday fishing and even if he doesn’t catch fish, he always has a smile on his face and is extremely respectful. He is one of the most dedicated young fishermen I’ve ever ran across. I know he hasn’t had a lot of luck with the fish cooperating for him. I asked him if I had a day during the week I was able to take him out on the boat and go have some fun catching fish if he wanted to go. His eyes lit up and was absolutely thrilled. After ok’ing everything with his mom, we went out today and boy oh boy did he catch some fish. We had our 2 walleye and 1 sauger keepers in the first 20 min. We knew there were perch down there as well and I asked him if he wanted to go catch more walleye or sit here and put a hurt on the perch. The pictures tell ya what he decided. We caught a lot of other walleye and perch today but this is what we kept to bring home for him and his family to enjoy for a very nice fish fry. The smile on his face is what it’s all about and it was an absolute pleasure having him out there with me today.

Well, when you have a day off and no guide trips scheduled, what should I do? Go fishing of course and make sure the fish are where I left them last!!! Got out early and got on em quickly catching multiple slots in the 22-25” range then also catching my limit so I can have a really nice meal or couple of meals. Had a hot and steamy day yesterday with no wind and some high humidity and heat. Got out early and boy did it pay off. Got enough fish to make a very nice dinner and caught a ton of really nice slot fish. These were just a few of the slot fish I caught. Even caught a couple northerns that were over the 30” mark. Well the day started out with wind that the weatherman wasn’t predicting and made the trek on the boat a long ride. Finally when we got where we were going the fishing was decent but nothing crazy. My client had never caught a walleye ever. The first fish of the day was on his line and it ended up being a 27.25” pig. From there it was a bit of a grind til I decided to go check another spot. 🤩 all I can say is it paid off. We had doubles and triples coming in the boat the rest of the day. We ended up just 4 short of our 3 man limit because we couldn’t get the walleyes to stop biting long enough to get the remaining saugers we needed. Needless to say it turned out to be an excellent day.

Now taking reservations for fall (August-October). I provide everything needed except food, drinks, and your license. Typical day is up to 8 hours on the water. We will be fishing for walleye, sauger, and perch. I am now also offering sturgeon trips as well.

Here are my rates as follows:

1 person: $250
2 people: $450
3 people: $550

I DO NOT CHARGE A FUEL SURCHARGE ON TOP OF MY GUIDE FEES.

Fishing has been red hot this year and the fall time even gets more crazy. It’s easily a time when you might pull up that next wall hanger!!!

Had the pleasure of having John and Ruth Ann on the boat. Caught em their limit and even had a huge pike for Ruth Ann that was 36”. They had an absolute blast and went home with some nice fish for a fish fry.

I initially went for walleye, which I had my 2 eyes and 2 saugers in about 15 min. Where I was at on the lake I usually fish for perch, so I went and hit a few spots looking to see if I could locate a few. Well I found em!!! Sat on a mountain of em catching one after another for about 4 hours. I even had a boat intentionally try to drift right into my boat and push me off where I was spot locked the whole time. Needless to say I didn’t move and had to push his boat away from mine.

Another easy day on the water yesterday. Multiple slots and easy limit in under 2 hours while dealing with the wind and rain.

Went out with a friend this morning and we had our 2 man limit plus bonus perch in 1 hr 30 min. Caught multiple slots, biggest being 26”, and had an absolute blast. Fishing is only getting better as the days go by. Give me a shout if you are ready to get on the fish.
