Each season, the players vote for five awards. These are named after notable Lakeview alumni or coaches.

We would like to recognize Junior Sam McCullough with the Duane Stebelton Most Valuable Player Award.

Sam had a record breaking year at the plate, hitting 20 doubles and 3 home runs. His 1.197 OPS led the team and delivered multiple hits in 15 games this year.

Sam led the team in hits, runs scored and 2nd in RBIs.

On defense, Sam was equally impressive at short stop making some amazing plays on the year and having 53 put outs and 55 assists on the year.

Sam is an impressive athlete and even better young man, being a strong positive force in the dugout.

We look forward to seeing what Sam and his teammates accomplish in 2027

Each season, the players vote for five awards. These are named after notable Lakeview alumni or coaches.

We would like to recognize Senior Caleb McCune with the Karl Randels Best Competitor Award.

Caleb is a passionate athlete, demanding the absolute best from himself and his teammates. Coaches often looked to him to lead during games and practices.

His competitive nature suited him as the leading catcher on the team, throwing out 9 base runners on the year and being a wall behind the dish.

After struggling the first couple weeks of the season, Caleb spent time working on his swing outside of practice and delivered the hitting performance he demanded of himself with a .840 OPS over last 24 games.

This is Caleb’s third Karl Randels award as a Lakeview athlete.

Caleb will be attending Grand Valley State in the fall, studying Sports Management

We would like to recognize Junior Camden Bradley with the Ted Thomas Sportsmanship Award.

Camden has been a positive influence on the team all year and shown growth both mentally and physically.

No matter the situation, Camden approached the game with class and focus on his teammates. We often noticed that even after a tough out, he would share an insight with his teammate coming up to the plate.

This year, Camden shined on the mound leading the team in innings pitched. He saved his best for last, throwing a complete game win against cross-town rival Harper Creek.

We appreciate his calm demeanor and can’t wait to see what Camden will do for the team next season.

Each season, the players vote for five awards. These are named after notable Lakeview alumni or coaches.

We would like to recognize Junior Quinn McCune with the Kathleen Moore Perseverance Award.

Last April, Quinn suffered a horrible injury in his first varsity start, tearing his UCL. He underwent Tommy John surgery a month later.

Quinn dedicated his offseason into getting his arm back in shape, committed to strength, flexibility and throwing program.

While Quinn was able to return to the mound this year, he was a force at the plate. Despite a slow start to the year, he hit .325 for the season including a .440 avg for the month of May.

Quinn was also a great leader off the field encouraging all the players to stay loose and have some fun along the way.

We look forward to seeing Quinn pitch again in a Lakeview uniform next season.

Each season, the players votes for five awards. These are named after notable Lakeview alumni or coaches.

We would like to recognize Senior Duane Arrowood with the Gary Beard Most Improved Award.

Duane attacked the offseason with rigor, hitting the gym each morning at 6am, working hard on his swing, and improving his speed and athleticism.

The results of his hard work showed on the field as he dramatically increased his bat speed and control leading to five hits extra base hits on the year. He was also an extremely unselfish player, leading the team in total sacrifices.

He played five different positions on the field this year and was a solid glove for the Spartans in the outfield.

His hard work demonstrated to the underclassmen what is possible with a committed offseason and we thank him for his example on improving himself and the team.

Duane will be attending Michigan State University in the Fall to study Criminal Justice.
