Exciting news Disc Doggers! We hope you’ll join us for Spring and Summer league!
BIG NEWS FOR LEAGUE PLAYERS AROUND THE WORLD
For more than a decade, the K9 Frisbee Worldwide League has been introducing thousands of people to the joy of tossing a disc with their dog on weeknights with friends. What started as a simple Toss & Fetch League has grown into the largest recreational disc dog league on the planet.
Now we’re excited to take a new step.
👉The K9 Frisbee Worldwide League is partnering with Skyhoundz®.
For those who may not know, Skyhoundz stages the largest and most prestigious disc dog competition series in the world, culminating each year with the Skyhoundz World Championship in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Punch a Ticket to Chattanooga!
Now, during the Spring and Summer 60:/All format seasons, as well as at the League’s Worldwide Championship, Clubs will have the option to participate in the Skyhoundz D/A League Series, a special competitive class embedded within regular League play.
Each of these three events will award 10 qualifying Sport invitations (Q’s) to the Skyhoundz World Championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee, creating a total of 30 opportunities each year for League teams to advance to Chattanooga.
In spring, Summer and the Lea's Worldwide Championship we'll award to participating Clubs:
1st Place Overall Super 8 Club
• 3 Q’s + 3 World Qualifier Plaques (awarded to the top three eligible Teams within that Club)
• 8 Skyhoundz Championship Pennants
2nd Place Overall Super 8 Club
• 2 Q’s + 2 World Qualifier Plaques (awarded to the top two eligible Teams within that Club)
3rd Place Overall Super 8 Club
• 1 Q + 1 World Qualifier Plaque (awarded to the top eligible Team within that Club)
Wildcard Q’s (Four Total)
Four (4) additional Wildcard Q’s are awarded each season and during the League’s WWC
Wildcard Q’s are granted to:
• The four (4) highest cumulative season-scoring eligible Teams
• Representing four (4) different Clubs
• Not belonging to a Club finishing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the Super 8 Club Ranking
Each Wildcard Q includes a World Finalist Plaque.
Here is an example Final Season Scoresheet of how Q’s will be rewarded:

The Complete Rules are located here:

• Participation is Optional for Clubs and WWC Regional Hosts.
• If a Club or WWC Regional chooses to participate, its Teams will compete under official Skyhoundz Distance/Accuracy Rules which includes using Hyperflite Discs.
• Participating Clubs will be ranked in a dedicated Skyhoundz Super 8 Club Competition using their top eight “A” Teams.
• The top Teams across participating Clubs will earn qualifying Sport invitations to the Skyhoundz World Championship.
• Each earned qualification will also include a Skyhoundz World Qualifer plaque.
This partnership is a natural fit. The League’s Toss & Fetch game was originally modeled on the Skyhoundz Distance/Accuracy format, and now we’re connecting the fun, friendly weeknight League experience with one of the premier stages in disc dog sports.
For most players, League will continue to be exactly what it has always been, a laid-back way to get outside and play Frisbee with your dog once a week.
But for teams who want to take the next step, there will now be a clear pathway from your local League field all the way to the Skyhoundz World Championship.
