C**ton Sexton Leads Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets Past Seven Hills

C**ton Sexton was dominant on the hill, as the hurler rang up 14 strikeouts in Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets's 10-2 victory over Seven Hills on Friday. Sexton surrendered four hits and one run over six innings while walking four.

Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets won thanks in part to eight runs in the fourth inning. an error scored one run, Wyatt C**n singled, scoring two runs, Blaine Phile singled, scoring two runs, Dakota Ison singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets got on the board in the second inning after Bacon Geer singled, scoring one run.

A ground out by Sexton extended the Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Thompson took the loss for Seven Hills. The starting pitcher went three innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out one and walking one. Brady Schmidt appeared in relief for Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets.

Schmidt and Phile each collected two hits for Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets. Phile and Ison were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets. Schmidt and Ison each stole multiple bases for Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets. Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets stole six bases in the game.

Schoeny and Leisring each collected two hits for Seven Hills. Schoeny and Van Rooyen were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Seven Hills.

Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets welcome Fayetteville-Perry on Saturday for their next game.

Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets With Great Performance From 2 Pitchers To Defeat Felicity-Franklin

Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets defeated Felicity-Franklin 5-0 on Wednesday at Felicity-Franklin Local High School as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Blaine Phile and C**ton Sexton each pitched for Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets in the game. Phile induced a line out from Hall to get the last out.

Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets got on the board in the top of the first inning after Dakota Ison singled, scoring two runs, and Jones induced Reed Etling to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

A single by Rowdy Etling extended the Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets lead to 4-0 in the top of the second inning.

Sexton earned the win for Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking one. Jones took the loss for Felicity-Franklin. The hurler went six innings, giving up five runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out two and walking four. Phile collected the save.

Ison provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets with two runs batted in. The center fielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Etling, Sexton, Ison, and Etling each collected one hit for Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets. Brady Schmidt stole two bases. Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets turned one double play in the game.

Pauley led Felicity-Franklin with two hits in two at bats. Felicity-Franklin turned one double play in the game.

Next up for Clermont Northeastern Varsity Rockets is a game against Seven Hills on Friday.
