Even if it’s late, we need to give a shoutout to several players that made beast club this summer in strength and conditioning.
Congrats to senior Delana Unruh for being beast club x 4! She did it every year in high school! Whenever someone accomplishes that feat, they always have a story of commitment and perseverance!
Congrats to Juniors Abigail Shultz and Vivion Murphy! I believe they are now 3 time high school beast club members!
Congrats to Freshman Brisbane Gepner, Katey Shultz, Nora Turney, Ryanne Baldwin, and Ariana Winkler for making beast club!
We had several more players almost make it and honestly happy for everyone that attended the days they could make it to help them individually and our program be faster and stronger!

Congrats to Aliya VanDonge and her commitment to Fort Hays State to play soccer at that great University! Aliya has a great senior year ahead of her at BLHS!

62 ballers wanting to get better at basketball attended camp the past 3 days. We have a great group of young players in our community. We are blessed with parents who have their daughters involved and we are also blessed with high school players that realize they have young eyes watching them. They are great role models that are willing to help our younger players. More pictures and video in the comments.

Summer league for varsity wrapped up last night and we finished undefeated! We had a slightly different group each night. This picture shows the players that played last night and they put on a show!

Youth girls basketball camp starts tomorrow! June 22-24.
Due to construction, we are in the small gym. Everyone will have to enter through the CTE entrance. The small gym air conditioner has been hit or miss this summer. I just went in there today and it wasn’t bad unlike earlier this month. With the banners hanging in the small gym from the 70s, 80s, 90s and the air not working the greatest, it gives us an old-school feel! If any camper gives the look of old-school 70s-90s tomorrow, you will get a prize!!
3-6th grade will be concentrating on fundamentals and team work, and we hope to do quite a few drills that our HS players do for our 7-8th grade campers.

These players spent the last 3 days at Pitt State basketball Team camp. Incredible competition for our program at this camp. 82 teams participated and we competed in the top division for both Varsity and JV. The experience can only help us accomplish our goals next winter. Our varsity defeated both Kansas teams we played (great programs btw). We didn’t do quite so well against the out of state teams we played. I’ve been to this camp for 17 years now and this one ranks at the top for the best teams I’ve seen there. All in all, our players represented the Basehor-Linwood community well!

Fun busy week of basketball! Varsity summer league and JV summer league. Varsity participated in the Shot Clock tournament at Mill Valley HS this weekend.
Our players are showing improvement and toughness across the board! In the Shot Clock tournament we went 5-0 before losing in the championship game. Great competition this weekend.

I’ve been behind on my emails. If I missed you, let me know. Girls basketball camp is getting closer! There is no limit on campers. If an incoming 3-8th grader is interested in camp, we will find a spot for her.
