Fun fact an obese person will spend an extra $5000 a year on living excluding food expenses compared to a fit person. An overweight person will only spend an extra $500 in that same year. Basically to stay slightly unhealthy rather than overly so you save $4500. These things could be shoes, clothes, tires, etc. You wear daily essentials out vastly faster.
