☘️🍀 2025 UKI Northeast Shamrock Cup ☘️🍀
Well it has taken most of this week to recover from the Shamrock Cup. Even though I am a little late with this post, it doesn't mean I am any less grateful to my friends and colleagues that helped put on this tremendous event.
💚This year marked the largest Northeast Cup since before COVID💚
I post the quote below every year as I truly believe it is 100% why this event is so successful. The "A Team" at KineticDog is the best. Each person involved knows exactly what they need to do and they just do it. I trust them to get it done and they only come to me when there's a question or a problem. They make my job so easy!
Dan Burke & K9 Trial Services took over this year as trial secretary / scoring guru. While we certainly missed Diann & Marianne from Flying Dogs Agility, Dan stepped right in like a champ. From taking late entries, to pre-organization, cross-checking, scoring, double checking, spell checking, online postings, software glitches, etc., he handled everything perfectly. Thank you also for all of the technology upgrades including the online wheel of fortune for the Blue Ribbon Raffle.
Vincent & Cindy Madeiros - the masters at RV parking, tenting, podium decoration, photo booth coordination, and taking care of show committee for the RV potluck and show committee dinner. You guys are the best!
Judy Reilly & Tom Ford - Chief course builders - aided heavily by Trish Dranchak & Ashley Anderson - I was unable to help at all this year due to my knee recovery and this crew took over everything. Judy even designed the practice rings for me.
Jacky Mento & Kathleen Schaefer - these ladies handled so much more than ring coordinating including prizes, awards, podium, whiteboard communication of walks & runs, workers raffle, and they are there just when ever I need them. We started setup on the Sunday before the Cup and these ladies were there from start to finish - all while still handling their day jobs.
Alaina - Another one that was there for duration starting on the Sunday before the event. Alaina handles everything the judges could possibly need. A happy judge makes a happy event and Alaina knows how to do it! Thank you so much for taking care of them.
And speaking of judges - Roger Ly and Mike Murphy. You two were the absolute perfect fit for this Cup. Roger, we loved having you judge for KineticDog for the first time and Mike, we loved having you "come home" again. Roger, loved the costumes 🧙♂️🎩 Your courses, your humor, your calls and your professionalism were all spot on. Thank you for sharing the RV together. It was great to have you on site for the entire event.
Barbara Romano, thank you for being one of the ones that started on Sunday and stuck with us through the entire event, despite not being entered. Your help was truly appreciated
Marina Wong - thank you for coming all the way from Michigan to help us with scoring. You were invaluable.
Maureen Burke - Thank you for your help with crating, GAMBLERS and everything else you jumped in to take care of!
Terry Elison - thank you for handling the crating area planning, taping, and lottery. We hope you can join us next year at the event
Sharon Gechter - Thank for for all of the workers hospitality and for dropping it off before work each day!
Beverly Melcher - She approached me in 2002 about constructing a building at Orchard Hills Training Center. I told her "If you build it, they will come". I am so blessed to have been able to call this my agility home for the last 20+ years.
