At Oklahoma Wesleyan University, we believe that real-world experience should do more than just prepare students for a career—it should shape them into leaders who make a difference. That’s why the OKWU and the Chesapeake Energy School of Business requires every student to complete an internship that prepares them not only professionally, but also personally and spiritually, by encouraging them to serve their communities.
This summer, junior accounting major Bryan Ayala brought that vision to life through an internship with Reality Sports, a Christ-centered nonprofit based in Sumner, Washington. Bryan found the perfect intersection of his passions—wrestling and his faith—by mentoring young athletes through a program that boldly lives out the gospel.

Reality Sports operates with a powerful mission: “Turning the world upside down through sport,” based on Acts 17:6-7. Their goal? To transform lives by making disciples through the platform of athletics. For Bryan, this was more than just a summer job—it was a chance to live out OKWU’s mission of servant leadership in a deeply meaningful way.
