The Creede Donkey Dash 10 mile course is no joke- get ready to climb, climb, and climb some more! With approximately 1,716 feet of elevation gain, teams will ascend from 8,822 feet to the highest point of 10,521.

And remember- what goes up must come down!

One of the most memorable sections of the course is the descent from the historic Commodore Mine and neighboring mining sites. This famously steep gravel road, known as the "Black Pitch," is a true test of teamwork between runner and b***o. The descent features grades reaching 20%, with an average grade of approximately 15% throughout the section.

While the course will challenge your legs and lungs, don't forget to take a moment to look around and enjoy the incredible scenery. The rugged mountain landscapes, historic mining remnants, and breathtaking views are all part of what makes the Creede Donkey Dash such a unique adventure.
