🏀 THE JOURNEY CONTINUES — VT Coyotes vs. Hartford Colts!

Last year, the Vermont Coyotes and Hartford Colts came together on one of basketball’s biggest stages — the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts. What started as two organizations competing on the court became something much bigger: two clubs working to grow the game, create opportunities for players, and build something meaningful for their communities.

Now we’re entering Year 2, and both organizations have BIG things in store. Bigger opportunities. Bigger events. Bigger stages. And a relationship between two clubs that continues to show what can happen when organizations compete hard without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Our last clinic was insane and as an organization we couldn’t be more proud of how it went.

The VT Coyotes were built to impact the next Generation of athletes. Built to give athletes all over the country a platform to play professional basketball on while also getting the marketing the need to make it to the next level. Donte Greene is a former NBA player who has signed with the VT Coyotes for the 2026-2027 season! That’s right! A NBA First Round Draft Pick will be playing at the home of the Coyotes, the Barre VT Civic Center!

A preview of the 2026-2027 Coyotes roster will be taking place at our last One Dream Elite Skills Training Clinic in Hartford Vermont at the high school featuring Donte Greene & the rest of his teammates!

This clinic is for ages 2nd grade through high school! All of our clinics this year have done amazingly well and we are looking to finish strong!

Everyone has their own journey and every journey takes time, patience, and growth.

For so many of our guys, playing for the VT Coyotes last season was a dream come true for a lot of our roster. Every single Vermont athlete minus one was playing pro basketball for the first time ever. Many were playing in men’s leagues the year prior. Once that dream becomes reality, you quickly learn what playing professional basketball truly demands.

Commitment. Sacrifice. Accountability. Every single day.

This year, we have undoubtedly built a team that has taken another step forward in all three. We have athletes who are ready to fully embrace their roles, understanding that nothing is given and everything is earned. We have athletes who has played in the NBA, Overseas & been the best in their leagues while earning player of the year recognition in college etc. knowing how to play within a system is vital!

Bringing Calder Horowitz back into the mix represents exactly what we want this season to be about.

Growth.

Lessons learned.

Another opportunity.

And, more importantly, the redemption journey of #9.

Calder has something to prove. He knows it. We know it. And we believe Calder is exactly where he’s supposed to be.
