As the rolls on, it’s important to remember to and teach them something new!! Last night Annie caught her first fish on the fly, landed a giant catfish, and we witnessed a beautiful, fiery August sunset!

What a morning on the water today!! Added 2 more species to the list and had some repeats, but not before catching my first ever saltwater fish on the fly. Best part was watching a youngster get his first saltwater fish from the boat!! Thanks Fishermans Headquarters!!

Spent an evening on the shores of a local hidden gem. The PA DCNR named the Lackawanna River the 2020 River of the Year. It is also home to native brown trout, which I was able to catch a few of. Thanks to A&G Outfitters for setting me up to match the hatch. Can’t wait to get back there! That brings me to 15 of 40! Orvis Fly Fishing

The challenge was off to a slow start with no ice on the local water this winter followed by the global pandemic, but he’s on a roll now. We have big plans for this summer as we realize we will need to travel out of our immediate area to find the fish and reach the goal. Currently at 14 of 40!
