Pool play is in the books!

The boys battled through two very different games today—falling just short in a hard-fought 10-9 battle before bouncing back with an impressive 11-1 victory. The resilience, energy, and fight this team showed all day was something to be proud of.

Here’s a look at how each player contributed to a strong day of baseball:

💪 Carter Bailey - Threw a complete-game win (4 IP, 5 H, 1 ER) while also going 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI, and a run scored. A huge all-around performance!

🎯Graham Kirtland - Finished 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored, a double, and 3 total bases while anchoring the defense at shortstop. Great weekend setting the tone at the top of the lineup!

⚡️Braxton Magennis - Went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored, an RBI, and 2 stolen bases, continuing to pressure defenses every chance he got. Great day at first base, too!

💣 Kip McManaway - Finished 1-for-2 with an RBI, added a sacrifice fly, and did a great job behind the plate helping guide the pitching staff. Tough, team-first baseball!

🌪️ Sawyer Imburgia - Went 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs, a run scored, and a stolen base while making plays at third base. Another strong all-around effort!

⭐️ Brody Herndon - Steady contributor all day, reaching base, scoring a run, and driving in another while playing solid defense in the infield. His hustle, team-first mentality, and willingness to do the little things helped keep Top Tier rolling.

🔥 Cole Geiger - Went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored while making several great plays in center field. Another complete game!

⚾️ Noah Martin - Finished 1-for-2 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. Noah was clutch and continued to produce quality at-bats all game long!

🚀 Finn Wesseler - Made the most of his opportunities! He walked, scored a run, stole two bases, and kept the pressure on the defense every time he reached base. Great energy and effort!

🏃Crosby Atkerson - Went 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs, including a clutch two-run single that helped put the game away. Another great day competing and producing.

🔥 STATE TOURNAMENT RECAP 🔥

Top Tier Indiana 10U Navy battled through the USSSA Indiana State Tournament, finishing 3rd place in 10U AAA. The boys collected 31 hits, scored 32 runs, drove in 24 RBIs, recorded 77 putouts, turned 2 double plays, and struck out 27 hitters on the mound.

PLAYER HIGHLIGHTS:

🎯 Cole Geiger produced some of the team’s biggest bracket-play RBIs and had a fielding percentage of .938 (13 total putouts and 2 assists).

💣 Graham Kirtland led the offense with a batting average of .714 with multiple extra-base hits and was the team’s most productive hitter all weekend.

🌪️ Carter Bailey consistently created pressure on opposing defenses with his speed and had a field percentage of .800.

⚡️ Noah Martin dominated offensively with a tournament batting average of .400 and came through with multiple RBI hits in elimination games.

⭐️ Brody Herndon was table-setter, baserunning threat, and dependable defender with 4 assists and 2 putouts.

🔥 Braxton Magennis was the ace of the team - Posted the best pitching numbers: 8IP, 9K, 1.50 ERA, 1.375 WHIP.

🚀 Finn Wesseler led the team in RBIs (6 total RBIs) and delivered the biggest hit of the tournament.

⚾️ Kip McManaway filled critical innings and attacked hitters with strikes - 8K (6K looking) and hit the team’s lone RBI in the semifinal game.

🏃 Sawyer Imburgia played multiple defensive roles and had a fielding percentage of .750 (3 assists, 3 putouts) and had multiple stolen bases.

💪 Crosby Atkerson was a workhorse with a .917 fielding percentage with 16 putouts and 6 assists.

Proud of the fight, growth, and grit this team showed all weekend.

A little late on the recap, but after a long weekend of State Tournament baseball, we’re finally catching our breath.

Entering the USSSA Indiana State Tournament as the #7 seed, Top Tier Indiana 10U Navy battled through one of the toughest tournaments of the season and finished 3rd out of 20 teams.

These boys played with toughness, energy, and heart all weekend long, proving once again that they can compete with anybody. From clutch hits and big pitching performances to aggressive baserunning and gritty defense, every player contributed to the run.

Finishing in the top 3 out of a 20-team field is something this group should be proud of. The growth we’ve seen throughout the season continues to show, and this team keeps finding ways to get better every weekend.
