💜 Happy Father’s Day to Our Barberton Diamond Sports Dads! 💜

Today we celebrate all of the amazing dads who make our league so special. Thank you for everything you do—whether you're coaching from the dugout, cheering from the stands, helping with practices, working on the fields, volunteering behind the scenes, umpiring a game, or simply being your child's biggest supporter.

You wear many hats and play so many important roles, and our players, teams, and league are better because of your dedication, encouragement, and love of the game.

We hope you take some time today to relax, enjoy your family, and celebrate all that you do.

⚾️🦆 What a great night at the ballpark!

We hope everyone enjoyed our league night at the Rubberducks game. While the final score wasn't the outcome we were hoping for, the memories made with our baseball and softball family were a home run!

From cheering in the stands to enjoying the incredible fireworks show after the game, it was a fun evening spent together celebrating our players, families, coaches, and community.

Congratulations to Coach Carly and her 12U girls on an amazing season! These girls played their hearts out all season long, and when the road got bumpy, they never gave up.

A huge thank you to Coach Carly for sliding into coaching head first to lead this first-year team. It takes a special person to step into the role of head coach in youth sports, and we are incredibly thankful for Carly and all of our baseball and softball coaches who dedicate so much of their time to guiding and supporting these young athletes.

After their final regular season game, the girls made sure to have a little fun celebrating the season with some home plate slides!

Thank you, girls, for an amazing season and for representing your team with determination and heart. We hope to see you all back next season!

⚾💜 A Night to Celebrate the Season 💜⚾

After an amazing season filled with growth, friendships, hard work, and unforgettable memories, these teams met one last time on the field. Instead of focusing on the scoreboard, they spent a few innings doing what they love most—playing baseball together and celebrating all they accomplished this season.

The evening was made even more special as they celebrated some birthdays, shared lots of laughs, and enjoyed time together as one big baseball family. The smiles, encouragement, and positive energy were everywhere you looked.

It was a much-needed night for our players, coaches, and parents—a reminder that youth sports are about so much more than wins and losses. They're about building friendships, creating memories, and celebrating each other along the way.

Thank you to everyone who made this season such a success. The positivity was radiant, and it's nights like these that make Barberton Diamond Sports so special. 💜⚾🎉

💜⚾🥎 We Have Had an Exciting Week Here at Barberton Diamond Sports! 🥎⚾💜

This is what it's all about.

The kids. The memories. The life lessons they learn through the game—teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and how to handle both success and adversity.

⚾ Monday 6/1/26, Team Kaje's 12U boys showed tremendous heart against the Pirates. After falling behind early, they battled back and never quit. The dugout was loud all game long, with teammates cheering each other on every step of the way and keeping the energy up through the final out. While the outcome wasn't what we hoped for, the effort and togetherness were something to be proud of. Congratulations to Braylon L. on hitting his first career home run! 💥

🥎 Our 8U Lady Magics had a fantastic week, picking up two wins over Norton and improving to 5-3 on the season. One of the best moments came after the games when players from both teams got together for ice cream—a great display of sportsmanship, friendship, and respect.

⚾ Our 14U Perkins squad delivered one of the most exciting games of the week with a dramatic 7-6 walk-off victory over Copley.

The game was tied heading into the bottom of the 7th when Jordan Lindsey came through with a clutch single to center field, scoring the winning run and sealing the walk-off win at Foundation Field. Earlier in the game, the Magics got on the board in the first inning behind RBI groundouts from Jayden Lindsey and Robert Kennedy, along with aggressive base running that included Michael Haught stealing home. After Copley put together a five-run third inning to take the lead, our boys never backed down and continued to battle all the way through the final out.

On the mound, Jayden Lindsey delivered a dominant relief performance, throwing four scoreless innings while striking out 12 and allowing just one hit. Anthony Semuga set the tone early with a strong start, allowing only one run over two innings with five strikeouts. The defense played clean, error-free baseball, and the offense stayed aggressive on the bases with 11 stolen bases as a team. It was a complete team effort from top to bottom and a great example of resilience and finishing strong.

That win moved Perkins to an impressive 9-2-1 on the season.

⚾ As we head into the homestretch of the season, we have a lot of exciting baseball and softball still to come, with tournaments right around the corner for our older groups. There is still plenty of competition, growth, and great moments ahead for all of our teams.

💜⚾🥎 As we near the final stretch of our spring season, we'd like to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of our Barberton Diamond Sports Code of Conduct. 🥎⚾💜

Our program exists to provide a safe, positive, and respectful environment where kids can learn the game, build confidence, develop teamwork, and most importantly—have fun.

As parents, coaches, spectators, and volunteers, we set the example. Our players are always watching how we handle wins and losses, how we treat officials, opponents, teammates, and one another. The lessons they learn from us off the field can be just as important as the lessons they learn on it.

Please remember:
⚾ Show good sportsmanship at all times.
🥎 Respect players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and fellow spectators.
⚾ Encourage and support all kids.
🥎 Keep interactions positive and respectful.
⚾ Address concerns through the appropriate channels rather than social media.

At the end of the day, youth sports are about the kids. Let's continue working together to create an environment where they can learn, grow, compete, and make lasting memories.
